Mrs. Lillie Mae King Parks, age 93, of Dallas, GA, died Friday evening, May 15, 2015, at Tranquility of Cobb County.

 

A native of Paulding County, GA, Lillie was born on April 15, 1922, a daughter of the late Alvin King and Maggie Keown. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Dallas, GA. In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bennie Hogue Parks, in September of 1997, to whom she was married on August 24, 1940. Her son, Bobby Parks, and her daughter, Minnie Parks, also precede her in death.

 

Lillie is survived by her five daughters, Carol Paschal of Marietta, GA, Lee (Marie) Wigley of Dallas, GA, Frances Parks of Florida, Jimmy (Kathy) Wright of Dallas, GA and Connie (Doug) Turner of Dallas, GA; three sons, Charles Parks of Virginia, William Parks of Dallas, GA and Bruce Parks of Dallas, GA. In addition, she was loved by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Many other nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Mae King Parks will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2015, at 1 PM with Rev. Archie Streetman and Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow at the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

Lillie will remain in Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home where the families will receive friends on Sunday evening, May 17, 2015, from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m.

 

Archie Parks, Chad Hunton, Kevin Kellett, Todd Mayfield, Jason Parks and Todd Pope will serve as pallbearers.

 

The staff of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Lillie Mae King Parks.
