Sarah Elizabeth Connell, age 84, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015. She was born on March 16, 1930, in Mitchell, GA, to the late Lawson Newsome & Dovie Morgan Newsome. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Connell and sons, James Rodney Connell & William Erick Connell. She was a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church, and a charter member of The Sanctuary Congressional Church.

 

Survivors include, sons, Steve & Connie Connell of Ranger, GA, David & Edwena Connell of Dallas, GA, Glenn Connell of Kingston, GA; sisters, Betty & Harvey Dixon of Kingsland, GA, Myra Poole of Martinez, GA; grandchildren, Tim Connell, Kori & Joerg Schmidt, Chris & Vickie Connell, Stacey Connell, Kevin & Kelly Price, Phillip & Kelly Mayes, Jeffery & Ashley Mayes, Amy & Adam Foster, Jeremy Connell; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Connell will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 2:00 PM, from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bryan Cockrell & Brother Charles Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA, with Tim Connell, Chris Connell, Phillip Mayes, Abram Foster, Michael Lancaster & Jeff Mayes serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 23, 2015, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

 

Flowers are graciously accepted, or contributions may be made to WellStar Community Hospice, in memory of Sarah Elizabeth Connell.
