Richard Lanier Evans, age 75, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. He was born on July 30, 1939, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Equila & Annie Evans. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Chattahoochee.

 

Survivors include sister, Patricia Demeritt of Powder Springs, GA; brother, Michael Dean Evans of Canton, GA; nieces Sherry Hughes and Wanda Wingfield; nephew, Edwin Harris, JR.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral home with Reverend Preston Moore and Bill Neese officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. E.J. Harris III, Lee Harris, Jeff Wingfield, Brandon Wingfield, Mike Hughes, Doug Hughes, Lee Hughes, and Tyler Hughes will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 29, 2015, from 5 PM until 8 PM.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clark Funeral Home, 4373 Atlanta HWY, Hiram, GA 30141, to help with funeral expenses for Mr. Evans.
