Clark Funeral Home Posted January 25, 2015 Report Share Posted January 25, 2015 TOWNSEND Steve Townsend, age 55, of Austell, GA, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015. Mr. Townsend was born on May 12, 1959 to Hiram Lee Townsend & Elaine Austin Gibson. Steve enjoyed sports, especially football, and was an avid Braves & Falcons fan. Survivors include mother, Elaine Austin Gibson of Powder Springs, GA; father, Hiram Lee Townsend of Powder Springs, GA; brother, David Lee Townsend of Powder Springs, GA; sister, Donna Lynn Roberts Ray of Powder Springs, GA; nephew, Jessie Larry Roberts of Knoxville, TN. Funeral services for Mr. Townsend will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 11:00 AM, from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In accordance to Mr. Townsend’s wishes, his body will be cremated following the service.
