Joyce Elizabeth Lindsey Cline, age 62, of Lincolnton, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on May 21, 1952, in Villa Rica, GA, to the late Paul Barto and Marian Lee Ellison. Joyce was a kind soul who was fiercely protective of and loyal to her family, and will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was happiest spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and her face just lit up when any of them walked in the room. An avid Atlanta Braves fan, she also enjoyed researching her family tree and painting ceramics. Joyce loved to travel to see the wonders our country had to offer and was also able to visit Germany and return to the site of her wedding forty three years ago.

 

Survivors include husband of 43 years, Larry Cline of Lincolnton, NC; daughters and son-in-law, Michelle Cline of Pensacola, FL, and Christine & Brian Shorette of Pensacola, FL; sister-in-law, Linda & Chuck Famer of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers, Paul Lindsey of Lilburn, GA, and Raymond Lindsey of Rockmart, GA; sisters, Virginia Puckett of Dallas, GA, and Merry Jones of Rockmart, GA; grandchildren, Alyssa Cline and Westley Shorette; several nieces and nephews.

 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at 1 PM, from Georgia National Cemetery, with Reverend Thomas Blagg officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 10 AM until 11 AM.
