Pauline Boykins, age 88, of Temple, GA (Paulding County), passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. She was born May 3, 1926, in Temple, GA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Jim & Etta Shooks and husband, Adel Boykins. Mrs. Boykins worked as a cook for the Paulding County Board of Education for 13 years. She loved cooking, flower gardening and she loved God and her church, Edgefield Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Boykins enjoyed life and homemade ice cream. Her personal testimony was Take the Lord with you.

Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Frank & Latasha Boykins of Rockmart, GA, Kenneth & Diane Boykins of Jacksonville, FL, and John Boykins of Temple, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Gordie & Brainard Smith of Atlanta, GA, Emma Jean & Wendolyn Parks of Fayetteville, GA, Brenda & Gerry Reynolds of Carrollton, GA, and Sylvia & Jimmy Gibbons of Cartersville, GA; sisters, Elizabeth Strickland of Temple, GA and Lois Pugh of Temple, GA; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 2:00 PM, from Edgefield Missionary Baptist Church, with Reverend Paul D. Flemister officiating. The body will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 PM until the service time. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, August 8, 2014, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
