Mrs G
My Family has some kind of genetic disorder, there are many people in my Family that has issues with walking/bones/central nervous system and other issues. A few children in the family didn't walk until the age of 4, 5 and even up to the age of 6 or 7 yrs old. One child has braces/crutches (about 10 yoa, now) and another child is in a wheelchair (age 6) because, of the pain and her legs are always tired. The childs Dr (not local and out of state) said she has spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 5, I have read a little bit of this page and I have some reservations about the symptoms listed not matching up with the childs symptoms. I had quit seeing my Neurologist because of the fact that all she wanted to do was prescribe more meds. I would like to see one who deals with hereditary issues. Anyone have any suggestions. (I don't know why the font has changed????) http://www.ataxia.org/pdf/SCA5.pdf (Still can't get the link thingmajig to work right!!) Thanks in advance!!!
