Mrs. Athaleen Garner, age 86, formerly of Dallas, GA passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014. The daughter of the late, Homer and Ethel Rich, she was born on September 28, 1927 in Cobb County, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Franklin Garner. Mrs. Garner was a lifelong resident of Paulding County and retired as an LPN and Artist.

 

Survivors include; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Deana Garner of Hiram, GA and Shane Garner of Atlanta, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Anita and Chris Good of Rome, GA and Vickie Ann Cobb of Alpharetta, GA; sisters, Winnona Rich of Acworth, GA and Dorothy King; brother, Harold Rich of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Stacy and Carson Sanders of Sarasota, FL, John and Illy Good of Rome, GA, Mindi Bennett of Helen, GA and Colin and Jillian Cobb of Alpharetta, GA; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Yorkville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
