As far as releasing my name here, it's not going to happen. There have been people here who found someone's given name and then found where they worked and made things difficult for them - all because they didn't like them here because of their political opinions.

note that if you want to take advantage of the health screening then you should fast.
what is the difference between plus and personal membership?

"Shop for free" - sounds like a good deal!
Wait - you say we can get in for free but they still expect us to pay for what we shopped for?

I read recently that "most of today's reporters and journalists are no better than used car salesmen. When they're working, you just know they're lying to you." My first thought is that's an insult to used car salesmen!

I have to say my Sam's membership has paid me back in spades over the years.
We don't clip a lot of coupons basically because we mostly eat fresh meat, vegetables and dairy.
We eat a lot of salad with baby spinach, feta and other cheeses, these are foods we eat in bulk. We also enjoy fresh baked bread and good wine.
I love the the prices for photo prints and posters I often print as thank you gifts.
We now buy all our razors in bulk because you know that they won't expire before they can be used.
If a family of 3 can save money because they prefer to eat healthy anyone can.
I will also add that I have never felt harassed by their outside sales people, when the approach me I look them in the eye and so no thank you or I am not interested they politely walk away.
Every store has a hassle, whether it be long lines, running out of specials or my pet peeve of patrons blocking the aisle with their buggy bulk and kids.
You won't get a better deal on a membership than the 10.00 off you are getting when you join. I have worked with the management on community projects and have some planned for the future, These are great people to work with on charity projects and there are amazing stories in this community about what they have done for the disadvantaged and those in need.
I will always support our local Sam's club and their staff.

When we had our businesses, we ALWAYS had a Sam's membership. We went through a lot of paper and they always had it cheaper than anyone else. Instead of a pack, we would buy a case. They carried the toner for our printers and our fax machine. We needed lots of office supplies and well got our money's worth from the membership. My computer desk and my husband's office chair came from Sam's. Much better price than anywhere else!
Bought tires there more than once.
I used to get prescriptions there, when we actually got prescriptions. Much cheaper there because a lot of the time we didn't have prescription insurance. Then I would use my Greystone Co-Op Connections card and save even more!
I haven't been there in a couple of years because I no longer shop in Hiram. Heck, I don't shop anywhere come to think of it!
Sounds like a great deal now! Might have to rethink a membership.

I've got a Sam's story.
The very first Sam's opened in a suburb of St. Louis, I want to say in 87 give or take a year. It was hot so it was probably July or maybe August. I don't remember the exact year or even why I was in St. Louis. I do remember my dad was there and we went into the Arch on that trip.
What I do remember is that I had read about it in a business trade magazine and happened be in St. Louis the first day it opened. I remember splitting from the family for an afternoon and took a cab ride - it was like $40 to get there from downtown St. Louis - and went to see this 'discount club' place. I remember I bought a large ruler or maybe it was a clipboard - wild iridescent green iridescent - with a calculator built in.
I figured it would be an interesting thing to be able to say that I was there. So that's my most notable Sams' Club story.

My son is there now to get me a small fridge for downstairs. Lets see if he comes home with it since I forgot about the flyer.
