I have a recipe that I got from that pinning site for some cookies...recipe calls for a cake mix, cream cheese, butter, egg and vanilla. I have made these before with red velvet, chocolate, and butter recipe cake. My daughter wants me to try pumpkin spice. I couldn't find a pumpkin spice cake mix, so I bought a spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin...think it will still work? I am worried the cookies will turn out wrong...

I have made muffins using cake mix and pumpkin but never cookies. I don't see why they would NOT turn out. The pumpkin will add moisture.

the pumpkin will probably add a lot of moisture. you may need to cut back on something else to make it work right.
