The Walk route is along the Silver Comet Trail. Many people <b>walk in honor or memory of a friend or loved one</b>. Walkers are provided with a large sticker to wear at the Walk.</font><b><u><font FACE="Maiandra GD" SIZE="3"><br> <br> GOAL?</font></u></b><font SIZE="3"> The goal for each Team is $1,000 or $100 per walker. Each Team will consist of 10 to 12 walkers who will raise donations. <i>Families, friends, and individual walkers are welcome!</i></font><b><u><font FACE="Maiandra GD" SIZE="3"><br> <br> HOW?</font></u></b><font SIZE="3"> Individual walkers raise donations in advance. Company teams are encouraged to set team goals. The top teams and walkers will receive some great prizes.</font><b><u><font FACE="Maiandra GD" SIZE="3"><br> <br> WHEN?</font></u></b><font SIZE="3"> Saturday, November 5th at Silver Comet Trail in Dallas. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. The Walk begins at 10:00 a.m. Prior to the start of the walk, a special balloon release symbolizing and memorializing those who have and have not survived heart disease and stroke will take place. Refreshments will be available for participants.</font><b><u><font FACE="Maiandra GD" SIZE="3"><br> <br> WHO?</font></u></b><font SIZE="3"> ANYBODY! Use your walker envelope to obtain donations prior to the event. Survivors of heart attack, heart surgery, or stroke will be given a Red Cap and will be honored at the walk. You and your team may also walk in memory of a loved one or co-worker with a special sticker provided at registration so that others will know in whose honor you are walking.</font><b><u><font FACE="Maiandra GD" SIZE="3"><br> <br> BENEFITS?</font></u></b><font SIZE="3"> Last year in Paulding County, 150 people died of heart disease that accounts for 33.9% of all the county’s deaths and 1,116 Paulding County residents were hospitalized costing nearly $10.5 million. AHA-funded research has yielded such lifesaving discoveries as CPR, EKG, bypass surgery and the pacemaker. Four Nobel Prizes (in 1971, 1985, 1992 and 1998) have been awarded to researchers funded by the AHA.</font><b><u><font FACE="Maiandra GD" SIZE="3" COLOR="#ff0000"><br> <br> WHAT IS&nbsp; BANK NIGHT? </font></u></b><font SIZE="3"> Bank Night is when you turn in the donations from your sponsors.
