Oh no!.....More subdivisions...I for one, just can not vote for Will.I'm not in his district

Laurien,A lot of voters will be scared away by the D.....Nothing personal against Will,Voters are afraid of the dems right now,no matter how conservative one claims to be

This is true... I personally do not look at the D or the R after a name I vote for the person,

I have crossed over several times..

Nice "assumption" there.

As have I LR. Voted a number of times for the legendary Charlie Stenholm -D (Texas) back in my Texas days. Zell Miller will always be a favorite of mine. These men were true statesmen. Not many statesmen left.

Pubby, you don't know the first thing about true conseratives. Honestly, you speak of conservatives like a racist would speak of black people. You lump everyone into the same group and make ASSumptions.

Don't forget that the only reason that Will is gaining any traction in this county is because a bunch of those nasty conservatives are supporting him.

I'll let Will answer for himself what he likes and doesn't like, but speaking for myself, it seems that this Global Fund for Education strives to provide education for all people, which, as a teacher, I believe is a worthy cause. Now, I have not researched this organization, nor do I believe that funds should go to education in other countries at the expense of education in our own, which is definitely lacking. The website does not affect my family values. The attack against my husband, claiming that he is lying, "bamboozling" the good people of our district is simply ridiculous. Along with several other unsupportable attacks you might have seen in your mailbox, this article has absolutely no substance. He "Liked" a page on fb. My point is that this person is grasping at straws to try to make Will look bad. What does offend my family values is the fact that he took, without permission, a photograph from a very special time, which he could only have gotten off Will's fb page, and attached it to this foolishness. Call me crazy, but when it relates to my child, I feel compelled to get involved.

I've yet to see Will answer for himself. I also have not seen Will say he isn't sympathetic to liberal groups like the Global Fund for Education. Educating the world is a great concept. So is socialism. It just doesn't work. You can't really do things like that until you have successfully educated your city, county, state, and country. We have a loooooong way to go. With teachers like Mrs. Avery who can't tell the difference between an attack on family values and a blogger's interpretation of things her supposedly "conservative" husband is sympathetic to, I don't want her teaching my children.

I truly hope and pray Will Avery loses. HOWEVER, if he wins we owe him all the support and prayers we can give him. We have to hope he votes true to the conservative area he represents and hold his feet to the fire if he doesnt. Thats what elections are for, and if he doesnt he will be voted out quick. So Mr. Avery if you win, you can count on my prayers and my opinions over the next two years! Thats a promise on both!

Will Will be voting a straight Democrat ballot tomorrow? Is he crossing over the line to support any Republican, Libertarian, or other party's candidate?

I am sorry I have been slow to answer some of your questions. With just 21 hours until the election, I am understandably busy.

JBG, to answer your question, I agree with the idea behind the Global Fund for Education, which, as I understand it, is an organization that seeks to educate people throughout the world on issues ranging from literacy to HIV/AIDS prevention. I frankly do not remember "liking" it on Facebook, as I often get "Like Requests." My wife, as per usual, is correct in saying that my first priority will always be improving Georgia. Frankly, I am as of yet unaware of any bills offered by any state governments that would take money out of the coffers to give to other nations, and I would not a person to offer that sort of bill up. This is not the role of state government and I will never be asked to use Georgia money to send else where. The ideology of the Global Fund for Education is one we can all agree to-- to help all of God's children lead the best and fullest life they can.

People have incorrectly postulated that a simple "like" on Facebook is the same thing as a legislative priority, and they could not be more incorrect. On Facebook I also "like" some of my favorite bands, but I will not be using taxpayer money to throw a concert, either. This is a baseless and desperate attack, and doesn't have truth behind it.

Cobbobig, I would like to answer your question, as well. No, I will not be voting straight Democratic ticket. On some of the races, I am honestly still undecided, but I will be voting for Gary Black for Agriculture Commissioner, and I am highly considering voting for a few other candidates outside of the Democratic Party. I have never voted a straight party ticket in any election.

Palm, thanks for your prayers regardless of the outcome! No one should ever turn that offer down. Your opinions and scrutiny are also very much appreciated. The success of any elected official is directly related to an engaged voting base.

I have actually seen Will on here trying to answer questions and he has even made his phone number public for those who want to call him.,

The other one that is running has not been seen on here. There is nothing wrong with his wife expressing her feelings on this issue. it goes to show they have a strong relationship.

we have wonderful teachers that post on here, just because they disagree with opinions on here does not make them a bad teacher.

I will be so glad when all of this is over.

LR, I love you dearly (even tho I have never met you in real life  ) so don't take this personally. I am just using your statement as an example.

I would just like to point out that Paulding.com is not the be all and end all of Paulding County. It's unfair and petty to hold it against a canditate (regardless of pary affiliation) whether they post on here or not.

I wanted give you the benefit of the doubt on whether or not you would vote to spend American tax dollars to educate kids in foreign countries. You have not said you would not. You have said you would not have the position to address that question in the State House. Not good enough for me Will!! Would you spend our tax dollars for the education of kids in other countries IF YOU COULD VOTE TO DO IT?

This is CLASSIC.

I NEVER EVER want to here about mud-slinging politics being disgraceful from ANYONE that supports either of these two.

What a joke and what an embrassment to ANYONE that will have the mis-fortunate of being represented by either of them. The people should write in Homer Simpson at this point.

Not by choice, but I figured moving here was better then letting all of you pay for me on the unemployment line.

As for Detroit, I have never witnessed anything like this up there PRIOR to being in office for such a small time election....now, after the fact that is another story.

I think if you were here and you were involved personally with the Avery campaign and had to put up with blockheads like Tom and Ithy you would have a better understanding of why it is necessary to fight fire with fire.

Personally, I don't think Paulding County could survive two years of Paulette Braddock. Unfortunately you just can't change the receipts and balance the state budget. ;)

well, that is a person THINKIN for themselves. i vote for the smartest person. gettin hung up on the battle against the other party is a distraction. That is just what the media on both sides want. They do not have a job unless what they are talking about is made to sound important. it isn't the dog in the fight it is the fight in the dog....

Are there any honest politicians any where in any race in any county or state. IM not sure.

Wow, JBG, if you only knew the teachers in this county....they come from all walks of life, and it sounds like many would not make the grade with you....pretty narrow when I think about the different teachers that I know. Just because someone likes a cause or group...throw them to the wall. You can't give credit for both of them being available to discuss where they stand. You cannot find anything on the other candidate, except past history. Oh, well...I guess the teachers in the county will have to show what they give after furloughs to be on the approval list to teach. This must have hit a nerve since you post so often. I vote for the person, and if Will goes to work and listens then he will do just fine.

Difference between a Democrat and a Republican:

A Democrat will be for anything that has the word global in it*.

A Republican will be against everything that has the word global in it*.

*One exception: The Global War on Terror.

If you agree, then why did you say you have to fight fire with fire in politcal campaigns and do whatever it takes to see the other guy doesn't get elected? Isn't that contributing to make campaigns a sheeze hole?

Are you suggesting that we would have been better off as a county (or District as the case may be) to have never mentioned anything about Paulette committing Insurance Fraud or having been arrested for Domestic Violence?

sheeze hole or not, some things are important enough to be brought to the voters attention. When a candidate has MULTIPLE problems with abiding by the very laws that she trying to be elected to make.

Sorry if you don't see it my way, but in my opinion a person that can't abide by the laws has no damn business making the laws.

I do agree that politics is a cheezehole. It may be that some politicians are cheezeholes.

How ironic that I see a screen name SepticGuy lurking.

In all honesty, it should have been up to other candidates in the GOP primary to bring this out on Paulette. Do you really think she would have won the runoff against Stout or even placed second in the primary had this come out.

But it didn't come out largely because the party, now the dominant party in Paulding and Georgia, have become the good old boy party where the errant behavior is tucked back into the closet. It was the same with Deal and the same with Cagle.

The point is that it is up to the individual parties to put the best candidate forward and I can't believe that of the three, Daniel Stout, Steve Golden and Paulette Braddock, she was the best and strongest candidate. She got the nomination because she was most favored by the good-ole boy group in the GOP including Jerry Shearin and Virginia Galloway.

Pubby, I have been told that Daniel Stout did have that info and he chose the high road. I expect it would have improved his chances to win but he chose not to throw mud. Guess he had had enough thrown on him not to want to do it himself. I am just guessing as to his reasons. The Party had nothing to do with his decision.

I can say it has been one of the most heated I have ever seen and I hope the candidate that wins will be the best one for District 19. He/she will be my Representative and I will hold their feet to the fire.

Normally vote Republican, but will not vote for Braddock due to prior criminal history and prior performance on the school board. Most intelligent people can vote their preference based on these facts. Others may choose to be led blindly to the cliff and jump.

I tried posting on his website, and also commenting on his publishing of the post on paulding pundit's facebook page. In all cases, my comments were ignored and deleted. I knew paulding.com is a neutral and fair site where I could express myself without being censored based simply on my opinions.

News Junky. You couldn't run me off with a broom and a bucket of sheeze.

It's been heated at times, but there has been some pretty good sparring. Too bad Paulette wouldn't engage.

I am still you friend aren't I?
