Mary Evelyn Stokes

Mary Evelyn Stokes, age 85, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010. She was born on January 21, 1925, in Clayton, NC, to the late James Henry and Mary Eunice Webster. Mrs. Stokes was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas.

 

Survivors include, husband, Fred Stokes of Dallas; sons and daughters-in-law, Ron & Chris Stokes of Dallas, Harold & Elaine Stokes of Dallas, Gerald & Carol Stokes of Douglasville, and David Stokes & Gayla Walker of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anne & Bob Mason of Hahira, GA; ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Gregg Potts officiating. James Stokes, Brian Stokes, Hal Stokes, Brad Stokes, Chad Allen, Jeremy Hines, Bruce Jackson, Jeremy Knight, and James Mason will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 24, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

 

Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
