Students for Barack Obama

Recommended Posts

I used to watch those two shows years ago, when they were not completely products of the democtat socilist propaganda machine as they are now. The reporters on those two shows invented the in your face reporting that you are complaining about. Yes, I am proud to say, that I do watch Fox News now.

Yeah, because nothing says "democtat socilist propaganda machine" like 20/20's To Catch a Predator.

Good talk, Elmer.

Will, since I still need some convincing and you say you were not a member of Students for Barack 0bama, did you know when you hired Steve Golden to be your campaign manager that he was in fact the president and founder of Students for Barack 0bama at Emory??

Will, since I still need some convincing and you say you were not a member of Students for Barack 0bama, did you know when you hired Steve Golden to be your campaign manager that he was in fact the president and founder of Students for Barack 0bama at Emory??

Asked and answered. More guilt by association? Didn't you do business one time with a Klansman? Or a card carrying communist? Don't you go to church with tax cheats? I even bet there are some people who are members of all sorts of groups that you associate with. Does that make you one, too?

Did it ever occur to any of you I'm trying to distance Will from 0bama?? I cannot and will not support anyone that has the same liberal progressive agenda as 0bama. Perhaps I need to know if he is sincere in his support for the people of Georgia and not utilizing this forum as past political candiates have.

You are all so up each others butts you won't even let your candidate prove he is who you say he is.

 :good:

He answered your damn questions. No body believes for a minute you were trying to distance Will from Obama. Now you're lying and everybody knows it. You just went way down the character scale in my book with this post.

I would really like to know whether Mr.Politics is his campaign manager or not. If that horse is dead, go ahead and get your shovel because I have good reason to believe otherwise.

Since this post is directed squarely at me, I will answer the question for you. Yes, I am Will's friend and Campaign Manager. And yes, my name is Steve Golden (no relation--I've asked). Will did not know I was posting on this site, and I only told him that I was today. Everything I have said here on P-com has been my opinion and mine alone, and does not represent the campaign or Will at all.

Let me tell you about myself. I met Will first, and became his campaign manager second. We bonded over the fact that we are both musicians, both have parents who are educators, and over a few other things-- but politics really was not one of them. When he decided to run for office, he asked me, knowing I had been involved before, to be his campaign manager and oversee the "ground game" for the campaign. I did not--and still do not-- advise Will on anything related to policy, mainly because that's not my area of expertise. We don't see eye-to-eye on many issues, but that's okay, in my opinion friends don't have to. He's a fun guy to jam with (he plays guitar, and I play the drums), and that's really what's important.

Now allow me to clear up some misconceptions. I volunteered with Students for Barack Obama in 2008, an organization that no longer exists in any real iteration, and an organization that I have not been a part of for 2 years. I volunteered back then for the person that I then wanted to be President. In these times, I do not think I would be a part of the organization again, mainly because I don't like everything Mr. Obama has been doing.

Now I feel I need to talk about who I am, because many people have talked about me, and I know for a fact that I have not met them. I am a moderate Democrat-- socially I am more to the left, and economically I am conservative. I've heard people refer to me as a "socialist," something that could not be farther from the truth. You'd be surprised to know that I break with the majority of Democrats on many issues, like on gun rights and capital punishment, not to mention taxes. All of that being said, I'm not the same type of Democrat that Will is, and frankly I am far from it. Will has never lied about who he is or what he believes. The only piece of political advice I really have ever given him is that if he should never lie about who he is or what he believes in. And he never has.

This race is about Will vs. Paulette. I am friends with Will because we share common interests like music and camping, and frankly because he's a cool guy to be around. My work with him began out of friendship, and has continued in earnest because I truly do believe he is the right person for the job. I know that you will go and criticize me, and I know people will attack Will for being friends with a former Obama supporter, and I also know that's a part of politics. But in my opinion that's playing a dangerous game of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon," because in the process, I have heard some gross mischaracterizations of who I am and what I stand for.

Just like Will has always been, I too am an open book. If you'd like to ask me any questions about who I am, I'll answer them as best I can. I'm performing in a concert tonight, so I'll be in and out.

And, since I know it will be asked, the reason that I never told anyone who I was is because nobody ever asked. I like who I am, and I know if I met y'all, I'd like you too good.gif

I'm not worried about your character scale ZC, but I find it funny everyone is in here belitteing me and answering Will's questions for him. Sorry if you cannot believe I have to be able to separate the name from the party. I trust no one anymore.

Keep on, you and your group are doing a great service for Will.

I also would like to note that Will has not (nor will he be) paid me a dime. I'm a volunteer because I'm his friend.

I don't think I ever told him that I volunteered for Obama in 2008. I also feel like there are some misconceptions as to what I actually do. I do not work with policy at all. In order to win an election, a candidate has to contact voters, and that's something I have done before. My main job is to monitor voter contact, enter it into a database, and use the results. Campaign Manager is a nice sounding title for a job, but is not what you think, at least not on this campaign. I work full-time for a law firm, and only work with Will every now and again.

Good Lord....Two pages of this crap and he answered the question in the third post. Some folks need to start defending their own candidate instead of manufacturing BS from whole cloth about the other. It's unbecoming to say the very least.

So you are his campaign manager then??

LTD!! :shok: I doesn't bother you that his campaign manager, Mr. Politics was the founder and president of Students for Barack Obama?? I'm surprised. Oh, well close this thread if you will. I'm done. My questions have been answered, I've seen all I need to.

NG,

He admitted it in this post. I was never told that he was posting on this board. If this is what you will hold against me, then I never had a chance to earn your support. I will however continue to answer your questions as I have done all questions asked to me by anyone on this board. I have discussed issues and given my stance on anything that has been requested. I enjoy interacting with the voters in all of Paulding County.
