Funeral Director Posted December 17, 2009 Report Share Posted December 17, 2009 (edited) Mr. Harold Loyd "Jack" Keown age 79, of Dallas Georgia passed away Wednesday December 16, 2009 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Keown was born on March 22, 1930 in Carroll Ga. the son of the late Tyre Almarine Keown and Ruby Lucille (Keown) Baggett. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He worked with Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He loved driving the tractor, hunting and all sorts of outdoor activities. Mr. Keown is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Mrs. Amelia Pearline Keown of Dallas, Ga; 3 sons Mr. & Mrs. Harold (Ursilina) Loyd Keown, Jr. of Lawton Ok.; Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Mary Ann) Keown, Sr. of New Georgia, Ga; Mr. & Mrs. Eddie (Jenny) Keown of Hiram Ga; 2 daughters Mr. & Mrs. Don (Cathy) Reece of Marietta, Ga; Ms. Carol Greenway of Dallas, Ga; 1 sister Mrs. Inez Garner of Rockmart, Ga; 1 brother Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Keown of Dallas, Ga; 1 stepbrother Mr. Amos Baggett of Temple, Ga; 3 stepsisters Mrs. Shirley Turner of Hiram, Ga; Mrs. Ila Mae Holland and Mrs. Inez McMullen both of Dallas, Ga; 9 granddaughters Christie Williams, Carla Treadaway, Dana Perkins, Ashlee McGill, Amy Atcheson, Tracy Reece, Krista Holters, Sabine Holters and Shannon Greenway; 11 grandsons Jurgen Holters, Jeff Reece, Matt Reece, Dusty Greenway, Kevin Greenway, Michael Keown Jr., Barry Williams, Shawn McGill, John Perkins Jr., John Atcheson and Joseph Treadaway; 14 great grandchildren and many other beloved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his 2 sisters Mrs. Nancy Weathington and Mrs. Wilma Baxter; 1 brother Mr. S.J. Keown; and 1 stepbrother Mr. Maury Baggett. Funeral services for Mr. Keown will be held at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday December 19, at 2:00 PM, with Brother Brian Carroll and Brother Mike Putman officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pall bearers will include Jeff Reece, Matt Reece, Michael Keown Jr., Joseph Treadaway, Barry Williams, Shawn McGill, John Perkins Jr., and John Atcheson. Honorary Pall bearers will include Dusty Greenway, and Kevin Greenway. The family of Mr. Keown will receive friends at Jeff Eberhart funeral home on Friday December 18 from 4 PM - 8 PM. Thank you Paulding County Sheriff's Dept, great job! Sheriff Gary Gulledge, you are definitely first class.
