The Raiders have nothing to hang their heads about!! They played awesome ball all season and they should be extremely proud of themselves. Gotta love those Raiders! wub.gif

I heard the band and cheerleaders dd not get to the game until late in the second quarter because the school system would not let them have busses until 4:15. The football team got to leave much earlier.

Yep, it was pretty sad to see our guys running out on the field with no cheerleaders, no band playing, no banner to run through. Neither of them got there until right before half time.

Thanks Raiders for a great season!!!!!!! You gave us all a lot of great memories this year!!!!

The band had to eat on the busses to the game to save time and try to get there on time. It did not help much!

Had nothing to do with eating, but sitting on 285 for over an hour, due to, what else? An accident!!!

The reason for this was that Paulding has no extra busses to leave early. Therefore it wasnt until 4:30 before they could leave...And in a bus on 285/85 at 5 you can imagine!! Wish they could have had some buses available for them sooner.

Maybe the band could have stayed home and the booster club could save all the money it cost to get over there for half the game.

You people amaze me. dry.gif Cheerleaders and band getting to this game vs. making sure students get home from school.....no brainer.

True, but why does the system force the issue of attending the event?

there are enough extra buses in the county to get the band and cheerleaders there.at any time there are at least 8 in reserve at the yard.could they have made the trip on a cold night??did they have heat???don't know---but there are buses available.also, there are several middle school routes that are done b4 3:30pm---these buses could've been used as well.

just hate it for the seniors in the band and on the cheerleading squad that have supported their classmates all year.then, also hate it for the senior players who(as it turned out) played their last high school football game.luckily, mine will play on saturday and so will some others.congrats to these.but, congrats to all who go to college and further their education.

This has always been a problem. There has been more then one time that a bus has broken down or had a flat and the system would not send out another bus or a crew to fix it.
On one occasion, the host county the game was played in repaired one of the busses during the game. It was free and done as a friendly gesture.
This was under Joe Watson's regime.
