Pubby, how does one read through a posting when a widetower ad is there? It keeps covering the text of the posts, and there is apparently no way to close it.

Veritas:
You're referencing the skin in the archive where I installed the floating tower as a test.
The skin in those forums was designated a test.
The skin with the floating ad is set to accommodate 90 percent of the viewers all of whom have a screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels.
The new skin "EXPLODE" is optimized for wide screen viewing and does cause issues on monitors that are smaller.
However, the explode skin is not a general user option. What this means, though, is that if you go to the archive forums and have a smaller display or one that is not widescreen, you can now select the default skin and see the topics using the standard blue.
Enjoy the new view.

PS: As soon as I can figure out how to make skin selection a benefit available only to supporting members, I will and will also add additional skins at that point.

I was having the same problem, this is what I did, I had pcom bookmarked on my tool bar, I went back and took it off and then went to the recent page on pcom and then re -book marked it... now I do not see the floating tower on the side... I go straight to the recent topic page and by pass all the other... if I want to read fastread page then I click on it...
maybe this will work for you...
