  1. According to the calendar, spring is still several weeks away, but now is actually the perfect time to battle summer weeds. As you read this, thousands of tiny seeds are germinating under your beautiful lawn, preparing to sprout ugly weeds. Go on the offense with pre-emergent herbicides. If you act fast, you can stop the weeds before you ever see them.

  5. If you have a Junior or Senior in high school who is attending Prom 2016 and is needing a tuxedo, you need information about the process. It can be easy and affordable or it can be difficult, time consuming and expensive. The key is knowing what to do and where to go. Many high school students ask their prospective prom dates on/about Valentine's Day. Once the date is set the young couple will need guidance and assistance with a florist, transportation, photography, dress/tuxedo selection, etc. Parents can help facilitate these choices so that the experience runs smoother and is less expen

  12. Guys will want to come in to see us as soon as they know what color they're going to need to coordinate with, if they plan on matching their date's dress color with their tie, bow tie, pocket square and/or vest. Take care of this soon, before the rush that occurs toward the third week of February and continues into May! Girls, help the guys out by giving them a swatch, a piece from the altered dress, or just come with him when he picks out his tux and bring your dress! Just know that pictures of colors aren't dependable and it may mean that extra trips may be necessary to get the corre
  13. Can you believe that it's already time to start making plans for the Junior-Senior prom? The first proms in this area start March 7, just two months away! Students who will be going to prom should have their dates lined up and should start thinking about a group to go with (It helps to split some of the costs and adds to the experience to go together). When she finds a dress, it would be a good idea if she could bring us a piece of the fabric, if not the whole dress, for the purpose of color matching (assuming that the young gentleman wants to coordinate colors with her). It's more efficient to get a fabric-to-fabric match than it is to use a photo or a general description of the color (like "some kind of purple") In recent years, girls have been increasingly secretive about what their dresses look like, whi
