  2. Ok I have to say I was really surprised today. A friend and I were hungry. My friend suggested that we go to this little restaurant on Old Harris rd. Me knowing what this little restaurant has been in the past. I was skeptical. But I had it all wrong. The food was great. The service was great. The health score was an A. Being that I am always trying to get away from the traditional burgers and fries this place really filled that hole. Prices are reasonable also. I give this place a big thumbs up. 1001 Old Harris rd. Dallas ,ga 30132

Can't wait for tomorrow when it gets slightly warmer and it is to be a sunny day --- plus I have the day off to go honor veterans! But ... for today, still have things I must do and then I'll make dinner. We are going to have a roasted garlic, corn and potato chowder with turkey paninis. 18. Do you like fruits and vegetables*? I do. I reckon I like just about everything that's out there, and most every way it can be prepared. The only thing I really can't deal with is green olives. IDK why, but I can't even tolerate a dish with them in it. My favorite fruits are apples (Fuji, esp.), pears, plums, blackberries, blueberries, apricots, peaches (OH EM GEE - Georgia peaches cannot compare to the fantastic peaches we had in western Colorado), grapes. I like oranges, tangerines, clementines, strawberries. My favorite vegetables are potatoes, green beans, rutabaga, spinach, c
  19. So has anyone else gone to Cabelas yet? It's a really cool place, and a lot of camo. There are wildlife "scenes" all over the store and most are very well done. I plan to go back when crowds won't be an issue and check everything out a little closer, but my first impression is a good one. There were many great deals and it seemed that non-sale items (the few I looked at) were reasonably priced.

  21. Being the daughter of a farmer who did his own minor veterinary work and a mother who is a retired microbiologist, I'm pretty darn hard to gross out. Odd things will do it, though, like what comes out of my head when I have a terrible head cold. :BLECH: Another thing I find gross is the little white thingies attached to the yolk of an egg. Somebody told me they were tiny chicken embryos, but I just now read they are not. (I'm sure surepip knows tihs.) They are perfectly safe to eat, so I guess I will stop trying to get them off my egg yolk, which is very hard to do. Edited to add
