  1. Senate District 30 special election on January 8
  2. I believe so. It just took me about two minutes to vote at Taylor Farm Park.
  3. The best advice I can you is not to use any Microsoft product to make websites unless you REALLY know what you're doing and how to use it to output correctly (but then, in that case you probably wouldn't be using a Microsoft product to make a website.) Microsoft products add a bunch of proprietary goobly goop that makes a mess of the website and usually makes it look unprofessional. Though it will probably look fine to the user on their computer, it will likely be a mess on a visitor's computer with a different setup (especially if they are not browsing with Internet Exploder.)
  4. Please go to the polls on Tuesday, January 8 and vote in this important election for the Georgia Senate District 30 seat between Republican Mike Dugan and Libertarian James Camp. Senate District 30 includes portions of Carroll, Douglas and Paulding counties, including the cities of Carrollton, Temple, Villa Rica, Douglasville, Dallas and Hiram. Map of Georgia Senate District 30 Less than 7% of voters participated in the Republican runoff on December 4, compared to a 70% voter participation in the primary election on November 6. There is only one question on the ballot and there definit
  5. Your question is very broad but I assume you are referring to the Paulding County Freecycle group? The group name was changed from Freecycle_Paulding_County to Paulding-County a week ago.
  6. Y'all should look at the website. This is not like any other range, this will be like an exclusive country club that has a gun range. BTW, the lounge is not a bar.
  7. Sounds like a neat place. After looking at the website, my impression is that the Governors Gun Club is for members only. The rest of the article - http://governorsgunclub.com/to-clear-the-air/
  8. I'm certain what you see is just the temporary authorization that will expire within a couple of days. When I click on the pending transactions in my BoA CC account, it says "A temporary authorization is an approved transaction that has not yet been posted to your account. The amount of the transaction has been deducted from your available credit. Normally, a temporary authorization converts into a posted transaction, but if the merchant doesn't complete the transaction it will expire and the temporary charges will be removed."
  9. I like quick & easy recipes. I always take my Five Layer Bean Dip to parties and it's always a hit. Five Layer Bean Dip 1 can refried beans 1 packet taco seasoning 1 tub sour cream 1 jar salsa 1 bag shredded Mexican cheese blend 1 bag of Tostitos Scoops tortilla chips and/or Fritos Scoops corn chips Spread refried beans in serving pan Sprinkle a thin layer of taco seasoning over beans Spread a layer of sour cream Spread a layer of salsa Cover with shredded cheese Serve with chips You could also use guacamole, sliced olives, lettuce, diced tomatoes or cream chees
  10. That's great to hear. I had to check the website of 104.7 The Fish to see what day is the "Drive Thru Difference" and found that it is Monday. More info: Drive Thru Difference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrVC5U9rBAk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-CsKBa-u-o
  11. If it's true, their website hasn't been updated yet to reflect the coming changes. Additionally, Fox ran a news article yesterday about More seeking concealed gun permits in Cobb County but didn't mention anything about a course. (Side note: Despite the article title, GA does not have a "concealed carry permit." GA allows both concealed carry and open carry, both with the weapons carry license.) However, I would not be opposed. I support our right to carry a gun and am glad that Georgia is a shall-issue state for the weapons carry license but people need to know how to use their gun before
  12. Thanks. I had to search the internet to find an article reporting the weapons used. There were many conflicting reports and misinformation on Friday and this fits right in. I suppose the rifle wasn't found in the trunk after all...
  13. I received this in an email from GCO this evening: GeorgiaCarry.Org Executive Director, Jerry Henry will be on 11Alive tomorrow morning, December 18, during the 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM time slot to debate State Representative and House Minority Leader Stace Abrams on the much talked about "Assault Weapons Ban". If you are outside the Atlanta area you may be able to watch by going to the 11Alive website and getting it through streaming. We will send out a link in the next GCO Update as well as post a link on the GeorgiaCarry.Org FaceBook page. As you probably know there is considerable t
  14. I typically carry 10 rounds in the magazine when I carry but I know of others who also carry extra magazines on their belt. I hope that I never have to use my gun in a defensive manner but if the time does come, I hope 10 rounds will be enough to stop the threat, however big it may be. Actually, he did use the two handguns. Connecticut shooter used heavy-duty weapons registered to his mother to kill her and 25 others "Witnesses told reporters the madman fired at least 100 rounds" "Wearing a military-style vest, Adam Lanza ... stormed into Sandy Hook Elementary School carry
  15. That article reported school lock-downs as a precautionary and didn't report any actual incidents. However, I'm sure that real incidents happen on a regular basis but just don't make national news. The media is spotlighting it now due to the recent school killings.
  16. Probably because they are developed completely differently and it's best to have separate developers for iOS apps and Android apps. When apps are available for both operating systems, they often have differences in features. Some vendors provide only iOS, some only Android. I'm sure there are various reasons for why their market is limited, probably mostly due to limited developer resources and not to purposefully exclude an OS over the other.
  17. This is how I've felt for the past few weeks. You ordered the merchandise online, but I'm the one who you're excited to see bringing it to your door. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAgggyUdVw4
  18. The first handgun I purchased was the one that I liked the best after shooting various guns at a range. The second handgun I purchased is subcompact and easily concealed. I purchased my third handgun because it is a little smaller and lighter than the first, making it easier to conceal and more comfortable to carry.
  19. I've enjoyed everything that I've eaten there. The food quality is much higher than I was expecting from a new "hole in the wall" restaurant. I was intrigued to see sweet potato tots on the menu and can vouch that they are delicious as well as the fried green beans. The owner and servers are very friendly and welcoming.
  20. LOL. I read the title and thought "That sounds like Grand Theft Auto". I was hooked on playing the original GTA in 1997 and still like to occasionally wreak havoc in GTA: Vice City. The only other video game that I'll play occasionally is the Guitar Hero series. However, I recently got Duke Nukem 3D for Android when it was Amazon's free app of the day and have been spending time killing aliens on my phone. This was one of my favorite games on the PC in the late '90s.
  21. The first couple years after iPhone came out, seemed like almost all of my friends who had one had a broken screen. My brother broke the screen on his GS3 when he dropped it. I frequently drop my phone and have even thrown it a time or two, but it still looks like new thanks to the OtterBox Defender. Sure, it doubles the thickness of the device, but the GS3 is so thin that the OBD case makes the phone easier to hold and is still thinner than previous phones I've had. I consider the case to be great $30 insurance for the device I paid $400 for. 4G LTE is awesome. I now have 4G inside m
  22. Most people don't know that UPS and FedEx come to the Post Office every day to drop off a truckload of packages that are then delivered by your mail carrier. These shipping competitors know that USPS is cheaper and more efficient. They call it UPS Mail Innovations and FedEx SmartPost.
  23. I love my GS3. I upgraded from the Droid X and love having 4G LTE and Android 4 (Jelly Bean). The GS3 has a big screen yet is thin and light with lots of cool features. I also love that the battery lasts twice as long with my settings. My daily use (some web surfing, some Facebook browsing, four hours listening to music/podcasts over Bluetooth and sometimes YouTube videos) drains about 50% of the battery compared to completely draining the Droid X battery. The only issue I have is the music player is a little buggy. When I got the GS3 a few months ago, call quality was horrible. Nobody cou
  24. Heck, the Post Office gives you a discount when printing postage online for Priority Mail or Express Mail. Then you can either give the package to your mail carrier or skip the line at the PO and drop off the package at the counter or a drop-box in the lobby. You can even Schedule a Pickup for free to instruct the mail carrier to come to your door to accept your package if it won't fit in the mailbox. You can even purchase stamps online from the Postal Store.
  25. I don't have any experience but just wanted to let you know of other devices Square PayPal Here GoPayment from Intuit MobilePay from Bank of America PayAnywhere One-minute video of Clark Howard talking about Mobile credit card payments
