  2. I feel "ok", but have a spot of pneumonia in my left lung leading to some nasty coughing spells. Last night was not very good. But we have been impressed with the staff and their concerns at Wellstar Cobb. Thanks for the prayers. According to ALL my doctors, God still has some other plans for me as there is no medical reason I am alive. I had the shrink ask me if I had any suicidal thoughts today.....and I told him double hell no. Instead I was going to hang around and see about making life a miserable hell for those that did their best to screw us for standing up for

  6. Please take photos and post them. I miss doing the Village
  7. No where in the constitution does it say "Except when the death of a justice occurs within x months from the end of the sitting POTUS term." It does say we are to have 9 justices and that the Senate is empowered with doing so. There is no room or excuse for additional partisan politics. They can debate the merits of the candidates, and argue, but we deserve 9 sitting justices and the MY WAY OR NO WAY turds occupying Washington are depriving all of us of our constitional rights. They should all be sent packing and told not to come back unless they are going to do the job they were elected
  8. Hay, the first step in Horse sh.t manufacturing,
  9. I have not seen or heard a word about Trick or Treat Village. Anyone know what's hapening ?
  10. The ill side effects if dried beans can be decreased by adding baling soda to the overnight soaking water. Bon Apetite'!
  11. 99% meat. No connective tissue, no fat to speak of, nothing but muscle. And a rather tender muscle at that, with a wonderful taste. Some garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, wine, balsamic vinegar and seasonings and they are really quite the delicacy At the Chuhascarias in Brasil, these are considered the best of the best. Here even Fogo du Choa doesn't even ovver them. What a shame. And really, they are quite good. Our kids loved them as toddlers......went thru several years as elementary students when they would say, Yew,, NO!!!!, then a few years later they would dive into a bowl of
  12. No, you miss the point. The Europeans have taken a separate approach to post primary schooling for 50 years. We have mediochre technical schools and 4 year Universities, with nothing in between. They have all kinds of "in between" education including training workers for specific job areas. Car Assembly, CAD, numbers crunching, bookkeeping, etc. Mercedes is simply applying here, what they have come to know works and it will provide them with trained employees who are ready to go to work, with our technical schools picking up the price of the education. Sounds smart to me.
  13. I love the new Farmers Market down Austell Road, although the veggie prices have jumped up since they opened. But chicken hearts are still $0.99 a pound. We cooked $5 worth on the grill tonight, along with some $0.99 a pound asparagus, Yes, it is a bit time consuming to skewer them, but if you like chicken hearts, it is well worth the work. And grilled asparagus as well. Tossed salad and some bowtie pasta with parmesean cheese and butter. The hearts were basted with an olive oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar and lemon juice. Damn good stuff. Bon Apetite Y'all!!!! What 'ya havin
  14. I have watched the Europeans do this sort of things for years now. Makes you kind of go, Uhhhh why don't we do that?
  15. Grilled baby back ribs, hot wings, celery, fried yucca, tossed salad, cheese bowties, and a really huge artichoke with garlic butter. Really good eats, and enough for lunch tomorrow. What are y'all eating tonight ? Bon Apetite!
  16. For us, a good (great?) Falcon game is 3-1/2 hours of free entertainment! Can't say that about much. Our T-Bone burgers at half time were right tasty too.
  17. Oh my God Becky, what a meal. 2 snappers pan seared with garlic, butter and lemon, and then a double handful of shrimp ...... We caught the snappers 3 weeks ago. Served over bow tie pasta, with edame. And a roll with a glass of pinot grigio. Bon Apetite Y'all !!!!!

  21. Oh come on now, Ryan and the Coons played well last week. I like watching them, it is entertaining, and normally free. Us fixed income old people depend a lot on "free" entertainment.
  22. Kroger had these 1# packs of good looking giant mushrooms for reduced for quick sale for $1.69 , so I got all 4. 2 giant onions, a whole bulb/clove of garlic, and oil. Add the mushrooms, cook for 15 minutes or so, and add 2 quarts of chicken stock. Let that come to a boil and reduce to simmer for 45 minutes and rest. Take the boat motor to it and make a puree' Cool in the fridge overnight Add 1/3 half and half for 2/3 soup base, garlic croutons, and enjoy!!!!! Served wth 2 T-Bone Hamburgers made from the $2.75 a pound T-Bones I bought at Sav-a-lot and ground up a few w
  23. Yeah, yeah, I will watch the debates. But I sure would like to go back and forth to the Falcon game. I don't think I get ESPN Monday night football on my Direct TV. I am poor.....it is a basic contract and I am not a sports fanatic. But I hate to have to go to a bar to watch, as I was going to flip back and forth to the debate. Grrrrrrrrrrrr
