  3. That's awesome. Sent you a message RaidersRock. I'm interested too!
  4. Try some of the local churches. Some of them will help. West Ridge and St. Vincent are two that I know have helped others before. Tallatoona, United Way, etc are other good resources. Good luck.

  6. I need some Alabama stuff for Jacob's Christmas... what else do you have? Any ideas?
  7. Paulding County High School or Home Depot. We buy ours every year at Home Depot. Never had a problem...
  8. I have read these threads and I also know and have witnessed first hand what this addiction can do to families. These so called innocent people were involved with two people very close to me at one point in their lives and led them down a very destructive path that has left some very deep and hurtful scars on my family. And what breaks my heart most is that they still want to defend them even today even going as far to call them friends. I have one family memeber that lost their children and and another that has wrecked his body with this mess.... they are clean today but emotionally and ph
  9. Me too! I'm so ready for them to be open!!
  10. Ditto... I know this is real hard for her. LR - Love you and still praying for you!
  11. I have mixed emotions about this... I was sending a message to someone tonight on FB and when I was selecting the "who" Daddy's name was there. It kind of took me back for a second. But on the flip side, I have gone back and read his FB and pcom posts from over the last few months in addition to some of the blogs he posted. It is comforting and nice to have... especially when I miss him so much. I would give ANYTHING to hear his voice... "I love you Sis..." what I would give... I did call and turn off his cell phone last week but I think I did that only because he never set up his v
  12. Because people like to drive way too fast for that street and not pay attention! We've lived on East Paulding for over 11 years. I've seen several accidents and many close calls over the years.
  13. LadyRaider, So sorry for your loss. Praying for you! Chickadee
  14. It was a mess this morning! I had to turn around and go the other direction. Took me forever to get to work today.
  15. We locked in at .58 for the year.
  16. My aunt used to make fudge pies for Christmas and Thanksgiving. We would get so excited about them... it is so good!!! 4 T. cocoa 4 T. flour 1 C. sugar 2 eggs beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 c. melted margarine Mix cocoa, flours, sugar, eggs, and vanilla thoroughly. Then add butter. Pour into a frozen pie shell. Bake for 25 minutes at 325 degrees. We topped it off with whipped cream.
  17. This has happened to us three times in the last few years with our debit card. The bank took care of us but the last time was at Christmas (two days before) and there was no guarantee that we would get our money back before Christmas. You can imagine how sick we were with worry trying to make sure we were able to buy gifts for our kids. We do use our debit cards still but we are much more selective about where we use it and when. I've also started pulling cash out and use cash or gift cards. I started putting cash on a gift card to pay for our gas because gas stations seem to be a ta
  18. Lady Raider, You know our prayers are with you and your family. I wish I could say or do something to make it easier. Just cherish these last few hours and days you have with her. Those last few hours with Daddy were bittersweet but I wouldn't have had it any other way. Praying for peace... Chickadee
  19. Just wanted to drop in and thank you for the phone calls, visits, cards, messages, kind words, food, etc. It was so nice to meet many of you during the week although I wish it were under different circumstances. Daddy (JohnnyJ) loved pcom and his family here. Quite honestly, I believe pcom and his pcom friends played a huge role in keeping him going this long. Special thank you to LPPT and LadyRaider for helping me keep it together ... not just this week but over the last few years with Daddy. You've both been there more times than I can count even if it was just to hear me vent
