  1. Is WSBTV broadcasting live tonight - N. Paulding and E. Paulding? What channel on Comcast X-Finity? Looked at guide for WSBTV (2) and nothing is listed for it.
  2. Has anyone noticed cameras placed in odd places? Neighbors have reported seeing cameras on stop signs along Dabbs Bridge Rd., at the Senator's Ridge entrances, at the 4 way stop in Emerson, and Hwy. 293 in Bartow.
  3. Wow, mud bogging starts at 6:10 a.m. on a Sunday morning, aye? I don't even live right next to this place, and it is soooo loud. Guess they're so caught up in their fun that they don't care too much about the neighbors within 15 miles or so. Sec. 46-62 (#'s 10 and 11) in the P.C.Noise Ordinance states must be between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Come on, have a little respect for others and follow the laws.
  4. Anyone know who owns the first field with cattle on Dabbs Bridge Rd. (Coming from Hwy . 61)? Ragsdale Heat and Air rep. who came to my house this morning said the gate is wide open and cows are out. Not sure how long they've been out.
  5. Not really. I should have known better than to post anything on here, or even read the stuff on this site. You can have it all to yourselves. I'm done, already.
  6. WOW! Any Paulding authorities want to get on here and answer this question properly? We demand answers. Also, we demand you fix this PROPERLY, as well!
  7. I keep a blanket or towel in the car to throw over anything I don't want to be seen in the car.
  8. Hmmm. WSBTV shows a 15 degree difference in the low (35 vs. 20). Who to believe? With warm highs and above freezing lows, that forecast seems more in line with the rest of the week to me.
  9. Ours will likely get picked up late tonight, but you know what? I'm going to cut them some slack. They couldn't pick up last week because the weather was impossible and the dump locations were closed. What else could they do but double up this week. I wouldn't expect them to answer the phones. They probably can't afford The manpower to answer the constantly ringing lines by everyone asking the same question over and over. They'll get here soon enough. We'll survive.
  10. News says GDOT removes erroneous winter weather watch signs. Thought that forecast Seemed a bit odd with temps too warm. So now, they're being overly pro-active with the preparations.
  11. Rotel dip, pizza, and homemade Bailey's Irish Cream ice cream.
  12. No need to cry wolf 10 days out. Per my friend at the Weather Channel, forecasts cannot be made with really any level of accuracy beyond 3-5 days out. I have personally noticed that the 9th and 10th day VERY often show 60% precip. - even in a drought. It's meaningless right now. As a matter of fact, the high temp has gone back up and precip back down to 10% for the day mentioned in the thread (8th).
  13. We have a traditional tree upstairs that we call the Polar Express tree because it has thick rows of blue lights spiraling down the tree at an angle, amongst the mixed colored smaller lights. Downstairs in the basement, we have a 50's diner. Here's a pic of that tree:
  14. Something to consider.... Crime is higher near airports. You are 4 times more likely to become a victim of crime near an airport. The area around Hartsfield is a fine example. If that happens, home values will go down. Not a good scenario for a county which gets it's tax base from such. So I say, "No."
