  1. We're in Hiram, and looking for someone that will be able to repair a piece of flashing that came off our gable, so would need to have a really tall ladder (our 25-ft ladder couldn't reach it) - any suggestions on someone you know and/or have used?
  2. http://www.amazon.com/Love-You-Forever-Robert-Munsch/dp/0920668372 My favorite was "Love You Forever"!! Such a sweet book...
  3. Here are a couple ground beef recipes we have enjoyed! (I imagine you could sub ground turkey in most depending on your taste preferences!) Slightly modified from the original Shepherd's Pie VI recipe by Jacquie from AllRecipes.com Ingredients 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed 1 tablespoon butter 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided salt and pepper to taste 1 12-oz package mixed frozen vegetables (such as carrots and peas), thawed and rinsed 1 small to medium onion, diced 1 pound lean ground beef 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon ketchup 3/4 cup beef br
  4. Wow... I am totally overwhelmed... it is really hard to ask for help and accept it but I think this is one of those times I really need to and I know my son would appreciate a break from "freezer food" too! We are are really not picky - I think lately with all the same type of stuff over and over the only thing I'm craving is something home made and fresh! Italian, mexican, baked goodies - everything sounds good and I keep torturing myself looking at recipes and wishing I could get in the kitchen! (Normally baking and cooking are two of my favorite things to do - I even have a food blog f
  5. Oh my gosh you guys are SO sweet to offer to drop something off!! I don't want to put anyone out but might just take you up your offers... I have another perinatologist appointment/ultrasound tomorrow and will get an update on what the care plan is and see how much longer I might need to be on bedrest...(lowrider - I am off Nebo Road on Old Granger Road.)
  6. Thank you all for the ideas! I will definitely check them out. So far House of Lu and Sal's don't deliver here but I am going to keep calling til I find someone!!
  7. Thanks... me too!! This wouldn't be so difficult if my hubby was still here - but he's been overseas now for almost a month for his job so it's just me and my 13 year old who thankfully is a good sport and good helper, but going on 3 weeks of pre-packaged food, sandwiches or delivered pizza is starting to wear on me... (I'm 30 weeks pregnant with twins, so bedrest will probably be going on awhile longer.)
  8. I didn't realize there was such a difference in risk factors for open incision vs. laproscopic - are you on obesityhelp.com? When I first went through my surgery procedure I found a lot of great info and support there.
  9. Mine was laproscopic. I can still eat cereal, but sometimes the combination of the sugar in the cereal and the milk does a number on my stomach!
  10. I had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass in 2003 and was sick the first 3 months but since then have had pretty much no issues/complications aside from normal sugar sensitivity. I am so sorry you've had such a rough time since yours!!
  11. When you have so much control over the unborn life you are growing I've NEVER understood not doing EVERYTHING in your power to give that little life the VERY best chance at a healthy beginning - eating well, drinking the right things, limiting caffeine, chemicals, etc. Even if some of the things might seem silly or someone else did it and their baby is "fine" I am always going to be extra cautious during pregnancy because you just never know and I don't ever want to wonder "what if"...
  12. This is what I did as well - at the Harley Davidson on Thornton Rd.
  13. I have been stuck on bedrest for 3 weeks now and I know Papa Johns, Dominoes and Pizza Hut all deliver to Hiram and have their contact info but are there any other restaurants that deliver here? I know I had a Chinese Restaurant's info at one point but lost their phone number and I don't remember the food being all that great - but I'm desperate at this point!! Schwan's delivers here too which is awesome but I so want something other than frozen food or pizza at this point!! HELP!!
