  1. I just found at Tanner a FREE CPR Infant training for those with children under 1 years of age. I tried to register but it is for family members caregivers of children 1 & under. Here is the info and link. First 70 families...this is a great opportunity for those who fit this catagory or who might be a foster & adoption parent caring for the age range mentioned, especially for your ten hour yearly training. Worth calling for this funded grant program. http://www.tannerjobs.org/Careers/TannerNews/Tanner_Offering_Free_Learning_CPR_is_Easy_Baby_Edi_141.aspx Tanner Offering
  2. SLooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow, for a few days now -- has ATT & I am not happy with the results. Who has Comcast? I have cable but stays away from their internet. Hvae heard horrible stories and witness friends with horrific issues for the bundled package. I miss my verison DSL since moving from Maryland to here.
  3. hahaha, doesn't sound like a problem to me. Might be a blessing to you and your purse this year. Perhaps like someone stated giving might be better than receiving. Something may hve given them a change of heart. Have you asked them what's change, what's different for them thi year? As for me and my house (9, 7 & 2 years of age) I'm keeping it simple as I do each year. We focus on the reason rather than the material factor and hoop-la of spending money we don't have -- going into debit. Take the opportunity to do something different this year.
  4. Thank you to all who have served and are currently serving. Kudos to New Georgia Elementary & the Music teacher, teachers and staff. They have a wonderful program this morning honoring our Veterans. The kids really did a wonderful job.
  5. Looking for 3 (maybe 4) Winsome Wood Windsor chairs in natural & green finish to go with my other 3 chairs and for table. New or used but in good condition. Please email me if you have them. Thanks
  6. With all this technology... 1.Teach the kids about entrepreneurship and be their own bosses. 2. Form a grassroot community & be responsible for your own plans for where you lives. That way you can have control over what comes in your community and profit of the business ventures if that's all most are interested in -- money. 3. OR sell your soul to the devil for those things which you think glitter and the grass is greener on the other side.
  7. As stated, this may not be a good idea if you are counting on seeing a profit or benefits from all these nice business ventures the city officials have in mind. You can betcha there's more to the plan than what they are disclosing to the public. I've seen two states/communities face similar issues. My West Baltimore community where I lived was demolished and many families left without housing from about the 70s to 2010. They left us hanging literally! They are now pushing the Red Line system straight through the city and through neighborhoods. Many are not happy about this. The
  8. ATT here and not a fan! Slow and having problems as well.
  9. Well now, this City gurl just moved from an urban city jungle to quiet ole Paulding County to raise her youngins. From my experience I would say WATCH OUT & pay attention when city folk and gov start invading the country side. It cost y'all something and you can betch they got more plans up their sleeves then what they are telling you. Here's a little story, fisrt hand knowledge from me... I use to live in Roanoake, VA. Well there was talk about widen this little section of a small community which basically would have wiped out all the old timers with history in the city. This 20
  10. lololol ditto on this statement. I actually saw my doctor's head do a exorist head turn when I told him I was taking an herb for my health issue lolol, and the doc for my kids about hit the darn ceiling when I mentioned I was trying an herb for their issues. You take these drugs for one issue and you whind up with other issues to cover and mass what the initial drug created -- ugh
  11. Oh man, this a tear jerker, How sweet, where's my tissues for real. Touched my heart...thanks for sharing this lovely story of love to death due us part, very touching

    Ghosts

There are somethings which just can't be explained by logic no matter what "physical" hairs you wanna split! As stated spiritual matters should never be taken lightly.
  13. Gesh, I am tearful reading this post. I am remembering my Mom's last birthday which was her 90th, one year before we lost her...My Mom lived on her own as well and was as sharp as a tack until her fall. Your Grandmother's young 90s reminds me of my Mom... Enjoy her youthfulness and give her the biggest bash you can with all the family there to show how much she is loved and appreicated. If she is anything like my Mom, she'll tell you she "has everything and wants for nothing..." So we gave Mom a surprise party and had tons of food and loads of family. She was so surprised and we were so
  14. Scary, if they did this to a child, what darkness lurks in her work place with her skills -- yikes. For all we know they could be brewing some ugly stuff that the public doesn't know about at the CDC. That child is scarred for life and will need much counciling and a good support system to help him get through all this.
