  1. I remmember this vividly, too. I left my folks home close to Cobb Center going down Austell Road, it was only a 25 minute drive, barley made it to Mableton, at the top of Hillside Drive (next to the big watertower) everything stoped and all the cars were like sleds heading towards the bottom of the Road. My kids loved it! 1973 was bad in Austell, some of the power was out for more than 2 weeks, a real ice storm. The Blizzard of 1993, March 5, 1st Blizzard in 100 years, really cold, remmember? Found out later my son tried to ice skate on the pool, it was frozen almost solid in the shal
  2. sorry to hear this, his daughter Karan had worked with me awhile before she passed away, young. I know Karan had severe breathing problems at her young age. Karan's son Benji had spent some time working with us, too. Both of her children were very special. Sorry about thier Uncle & Grandfather. Peace be with you-all.
  3. I did some research after this post, and found that just on Jan. 4, 2006 Ms. Tucker was talking about the Building/Property. ( click on C. Tucker's name ajc.) Now today in her obituary, she states Mrs. Corretta Scott-King was the Jakie O to Black Women. If anyone wants to think this, it's fine with me, I'm just writing what Ms. Tucker wrote.
  4. Yes, I remmember this point in time myself....They also didn't make many payments to ulitity companies and were $ thousands in the rear for it. They let the Building go downhill, not repairing it, keeping up maintenaince, ect. Even Cynthis Tucker wrote about it.
  5. Jennifer, I pray God will continue to keep you strong. Sorry about your father.
  6. I saw Herbert Ragsdale's name today, and wanted to let anyone who new him know. He Lived on Westminster Way in Dallas, with his darling wife Charolette. He was my next door neighbor, for several years, a wonderful, sweet older Gentelman. And a great gardner! You will be really missed, Herbert.
