  1. Straight Talk at Walmart .....$35 - $80 for a phone ,depending on the type....$30/month,limited phone and text or $40/month for unlimited phone and text, both nationwide, Same coverage ae AT&T
  2. For those who believe in supply and demand theory: It's like the BIG BANG theory..you bend over and we'll bang you ! LONDON – The oil industry expects a difficult road ahead as it struggles to recover from the global economic downturn and is forced to juggle rising demand from developing countries against requirements for cleaner energy. Oil executives and analysts meeting in London on Monday said the industry was at a crossroads as it emerges out of a rout that sent crude prices tumbling from a record high of $150 in July 2008 to under $40 a barrel at the peak of the financial turmoi
  3. And in today's economy ..the AMERICAN DREAM is ????? ... lol ..... like the avatar says: Bite Me !! ...some people are either clueless, senseless, heartless or could careless ! BTW: I could care less about prada ..
  4. I guess we could follow the ole addage that 'laws were meant to be broken' or 'they don't apply to me' mentality !
  5. If I were a cop I would have a ball with this one .....what is the posted speed limit on Hwy 61 ...60 ??? I don't think so ... Look at the number of deaths that have resulted because of pure stupidity or someone has to be somewhere is more special that they will risk the life of an innocent person for their own benefit of getting to the bar in a hurry. It wasn't too long ago people on here wrote many pages of reasons why HWY 61 should have more patrols on it. Now, they want to go faster. If a driver is on the interstate doing 60 mph , which is the SPEED LIMIT set by the law makers, what gives
  6. Yeap....so right ...just got to watch out for the moron going 5 mph , up a hill, and the other moron going 80 mph thinking he is mudding.....in the end COMMON SENSE prevails. If you are afraid to drive it it...STAY HOME , if you can't drive in it ..STAY HOME , if you desire to go mudding....at least make sure you have an insurance policy paid up to date to take care of your 'next of kin'.
  7. Maybe you should charge them a 'convenience fee' for giving you a ticket or better yet .... tell them it wasn't a convenience and deduct from the fee..lol .... God Bless America.....
  8. Good article and thank you. So , if that is the 'real' synopsis of how gas prices work we should be at the all-time high still. People are still driving, companies world wide are still operating and the ragheads are still producing.
  9. Up Until about 10 years ago, approximately, gas prices DID NOT change on a daily basis. You were lucky if a price increase took place every 6 months or once per year. So, the economics of 'supply and demand' are out the window. It's a textbook quotation. It doesn't relate to today's market. Now, they compare it to the dollar value, 'bottom line' for corporate,(ie. executives' bonuses),supply & demand,(lol), and any other 'excuse' the public will fall for. The bottom line is it is all about GREED !
  10. In 'economic' terms , it is called 'rape' !
  11. Sorry...don't buy that for a second....Reason ..if you watch the daily crude oil prices you will notice a gas increase by that afternoon. A price decrease takes a few days to filter down....a price increase takes place almost immediately ....
  12. Ok.....this morning gas was 2.35 / gal ...this afternoon .... when the snow started to fly it rose to $2.45 / gal ....it's not because of crude oil ..see bleow .. LONDON (AFP) – World oil prices plunged on Friday as traders took their cue from the strengthening US dollar and eyed a crucial update on energy stockpiles in the United States, analysts said. New York's main futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in March, fell 1.64 dollars to 73.64 dollars a barrel. Brent North Sea crude for March delivery plunged 1.48 dollars to 72.64 dollars a barrel. .......I wonder if
  13. It's too bad many vendors opted out. It is quite an extraordinary event that the county puts on. It's also a shame that when things get tough it is always the programs that are good for the people and the community that get cut. Guess the ' botton line ' is more important than community awareness and functions.
