  1. Two North Paulding Students Injured in Wreck By Doug Gross (Patch Staff) - August 9, 2016 4:07 pm ET DALLAS, GA — Two North Paulding High School students were injured, one of them seriously, in a two-car crash Tuesday morning. The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Harmony Grove Church Road, near Paulding County Fire Station 11, according to sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. Ashley Henson. Both occupants of one of the vehicles -- a female driver and her male passenger -- were injured in the wreck, Henson said. A male driver in the other vehicle was not seriously injured. The female driver was transported to WellStar Paulding Hospital and the male passenger, who was the more seriously injured of the two, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, Henson said. The Georgia State Patrol did not immediately respond to a message seeking details about the crash and the victims' identities. Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.

  7. My son has been wearing contact lenses (Air Optic Night & Day Aqua) now for about 4 years. We have always re-ordered from the Optometrist. I called today to re-order and they were a lot more expensive ($20-$30 a box) than what I find on the web. Questions is... has anyone ordered Contact Lenses off the web and how was your experience? Thanks
  8. How are you notified of Rain Outs (field closures) at California Park Baseball? Is there a number to call, website, etc...etc ? Thanks in advance...
  9. For what it worth... been using cast iron for many years. Use it every month... usually couple times a month. I use a dutch oven, griddle and skillet. Once they have been seasoned... if for some reason food has stuck, I use a plastic pad (similar to a brillo pad) to remove the food. Then I wash with hot water, dry and then coat it with light coat of vegetable oil and put it away. Never use soap. Every now and then after cooking, I will clean as usual and but in the oven at 380 for about a hour and let it cool. Cast iron really is awesome once it is seasoned...
  10. While maintaining the seasoning should keep your Cast Iron and Carbon Steel in good condition, at some point you may need to re-season your cookware. If food sticks to the surface, or you notice a dull, gray color, repeat the seasoning process: * Wash the cookware with hot, soapy water and a stiff brush. (It is okay to use soap this time because you are preparing to re-season the cookware). * Rinse and dry completely. * Apply a very thin, even coating of MELTED solid vegetable shortening (or cooking oil of your choice) to the cookware inside and out. Too much oil will result in a sticky finish. * Place aluminum foil on the bottom rack of the oven to catch any drips. * Set oven temperature to 350 – 400 degrees F. * Place cookware upside down on the top rack of the oven to prevent pooling. * Bake the cookware for at least one hour. After the hour, turn the oven off and let the cookware cool in the oven. * Store the cookware uncovered, in a dry place when cooled. * Repeat as necessary.
