    Lincoln was absolutely THE WORST president our nation has ever had.

     

    You win the prize. Lincoln was the worst President. He did away with habeus corpous. He put the Govenor of Maryland and other state officials in prison befoer the war actually broke out because they voted to secede. He directed Sherman to destroy the South and everything in his path. He let Grant wreck havoc on other parts of the South. He approved of the Northern prison camps were Confederate soldiers froze to death or were starved to death. More Confederates died in Northern prisons than in Andersonville. If he had not been shot, he was going to send the slaves back to Africa and put others on reservations like the Indians.

     

    The conservatives left the Democrtic party because it was taken over by the liberal wackos. The party abandoned the conservatives and that is why they went to the Republican party. A "Southern" democrat is conservatives.

    Bottom line "going green" is an advertisement gimmick so businesses can charge more for the same products just using green dye instead of red or blue, etc. It's a marketing scam. It was created along with the global warming scam. Some advertisemnet genius decided to go along with the global warming trend. It worked and is the American way. Capitalism at it's best. Just look at all the companies using the word "Green". Next year or later it will be another idea from the advertisement gurus. I still can't see how food grown with no chemicals or made made fertilizers cost more. The same with meat products. Grass fed beef should be cheaper. It's the "trendy" thing so it cost more. I've got to try and think of some gimmick that the public will fall for so I can be a rich capitalist. Look a Pubby. There was a need for a site to share community information and vent at the same time and Pubby made it happen. So Pubby can't be all liberal but a member of the free enterprise, capitalist system. Gotcha Pubby.

    The problem from where the mold was coming from has been fixed. But, the carpet floors and the wooden walls are covered, it was flooded and no body knew it. So the mold just grew! We were just going to get the right gear, and tear all of it out, and haul it off. There are small mold and dust build up all over the cabinets upstairs, nothing that wont wipe off. Just b/c of the humid summers here. She is very very blessed to be able to live here, we just have to get this fixed first! A hot water heater, and a door.

     

    You need to remove and discard the carpet and, if you have sheet rock on the walls, remove and discard. If the mold has penetrated the studs you may have to remove and discard them as well. Take a look at the below site as it tells you what you need to do where:

    Hope it helps. Putting in a dehumidfier will keep it from returning. I got one from Sears (actually K-Mart in Hiram) that was cheaper than HD or Lowe's.

    They have a good varity of stuff. Prices may be a lttle higher than HD but a lot closer. It depends on what you need. You can buy screws or bolts one at a time and don't have to buy a whole box like HD. They plan on adding more things. Ace over near Powder Springs Rd. (now closed) off 278 had a good, reasonable priced small engine repair guy. Wish they could get him in New Hope.

    Use Dale's or Moore's and add Italian salad dressing and marinate at least 4 hours, turning occassionally.

     

    Use Dale's or Moore's and add a bottle of beer or 1/2 cup Jack Daniel Bourbon. Alcohol will burn off but tenderizes meat and gives distinct flavor. This way it's best to marinate oevrnight.

    I saw on CNN this morning that actually the money goes to the governor of each state and those lists of items that the mayors want are just wish lists. The governors will make the decisions as to where the money goes and for what improvements, according to three mayors on CN talking about it.

     

    So you might want to write your governor or call and leave a message at his office and ask for special projects in Paulding County, like new schools or expansions.

     

    Evidently the mayors were asked to provide wish lists for the money. The list is not necessarily what the money will be spent for.

     

    Maybe Richardson should go make up with the Gov'r and ask for the 4 mil to build the airport terminal. If not, Perdue may offer bigger prices for the fishing tournament.

    Then why is Alpharetta getting an indoor shooting range for $1,100, 000? They are saying it is for 'public safety'. I guess we didn't bite hard enough. Stick that hand back out... I'll bite a little harder.

     

    They are just moving all the shootings indoors instead of in the streets.

     

    Not to mention the Maynard Jackson International Terminal @ a cost of $500,000,000. I could bite really hard on that one.

    Restore Hank to HR king. He didn't use steroids. Kick Bonds and others that used steroids out of sports for setting bad example to youth players.

     

    What they did (cheaters) was way worse than what pete Rose did. he didn't bet against his own team. Rose should be in Hall of Fame for his playing abilities not gambling. Look at all the pro football and basketball players who have disgraced the sport because of their personal lives. They are looked at as heroes.

    Sorry my sarcasm went over your head, is it free enterprise when the people we pay with our tax dollars allow lobbyist to buy influence and favortism, with little consideration to the benefit, or detriment of the American people.

    If you think their salaries sre bad look at the benefit package they recieve for life.

    Even if they ruin our country we will still be taxed to make sure they have a cushy retirement.

     

    There are plenty of idiots to blame our situation on in both parties, we need to call them as we see them no matter the party.

    I have never claimed a party affiliation, and I don't appreciate being insulted base on your assumption that I am affiliated, I have opinions about what I see going on in the gov.

    No politicians affiliation can protect them from my scorn.

     

    Others on this site have opinions also, they have observations they would like to discuss, they can't and won't because of the insults like the one you had to throw at me.

     

    Oh, I forgot. You must be a liberal, socialist Demonut and it's OK for the Dems to do it but not anyone else. THEY, Congress are our problem

    BUT...........go back and read your blogs. They are aimed at big businesses and corporate executives not the government. I agree it is disgusting what the CEO's make especially their bonuses. Congress makes the laws that govern big business but they are not going to do anything to curb the abuse because that is where they get their campaign funds. Congress is the blame.

    As to insinuating you are a liberal is based on your responses which, if you read carefully, is what liberals always claim..............it's big businesses fault. They never blame to true culprit which is Congress.

     

    The stimulus bill, as it stands today, has NOTHING to help small businesses (see article page B2 in AJC) because the Demonuts in Congress don't care about us (I own a small business). The bill helps add more government jobs and aids big businesses as usual. The Demonuts in Comgress caused the housing fiasco yet they voted out the amendment for $15,000 tax credit for any homebuyer this year. See, they don't care about the little people. Any moneys in the bill for the poor/low income is just to keep them in slavery to the Demonuts and no more. They are giving low and middle income a tax cut of $13 average per pay check but won't start until June. Then next year it drops to $9. See, Congress holding us in slavery. I have emailed not only our state Congressmen but others who are trying to help and even the three Republican traitors who sold out to the Demonuts.

     

    And think about this one. Georgia will possibly receive 5.6 (House version) billion from the "stick-it-to-us" bill. Where will it go? Perdue won't let it go to offset the homeowner tax exemption that is in doubt of staying. It will go to pacify Atlanta and may help pay for the transit loop around Atlanta that goes no where. Heck he might start another bass tournamnet. It won't help the little people because most politicians use us and don't really care. Just send in your tax money because they are smarter than us on where to waste it. I hope you see why I am PO'd at Congress.

     

    Let me get off my soap box and go to work.

     

    By the way. I am neither a Republican nor a Demonut. If anything I am a "Southern" Democrat..........conservative, compassionate, for less government and a states right advocate.

    We are going to sling insults like a bunch of highschoolers rather than have adult converations about issues that effect us.

     

    Yeah, that's right. Bail out when you promote euthanasia when you said "Of course it would save us tons if we kicked the elderly off the wagon, medicare uses billions keeping them alive for our sentimental attachment to to them. There too old to work and pay taxes, they are a burden on society, yet we spend billions keeping them alive." When do you start the killings of elderly. Remember YOU will be old one day if you are lucky.

     

    Why are you slamming the capilist, free enterprisers? Why aren't you slamming those a-holes in Congress who recently voted themselves $9,300.00 in a raise. The poor suffer and starve and Congress eats lobster. Also the Demonuts just took a sabitical to Williamsburg last weekend on our dollar. Go slam them. Oh, I forgot. You must be a liberal, socialist Demonut and it's OK for the Dems to do it but not anyone else. THEY, Congress are our problem.

     

    Did you hear what that idiot Shuler from New York, a Demonut, said today. He said the money in the Federal Reserves was not the taxpayers money but belong to the Federal Reserves. I don't think he knows where his salary comes from. Narsacistic a hole.
