I voted for Heath the first time but I am considering Curruth in the run off based on inputs on P.com.
Now I need your opinion on which is a better candidate: Valbuena or Collins? Seriously. You seem to know a lot of dirt and/or good qualities on local candidates.
This does in know way change my mind about who to vote for for president.

Voting is a privilege and not a right. Shame on you if you don't vote. Our precinct had under 600 voting out of 5,000. Pathetic since you can early vote and do an absentee ballot.
REMEMBER EARLY VOTING NEXT WEEK. VOTE EARLY AND OFTEN (Chicago method).

I'm not going to state that the documents you proffer are not legitimate but I can say that I find their authenticity worthy of question on the basis that they are not photocopies, have no internal security, and could be forgeries.
I've been in contact with Mr. Houston and he is seeking the original documents. It really tests my credulity - I think that if the federal court is taking and distributing PDF's in this editable form using none of the tools for authenticity available in the pdf format, every one of those folks should be fired.
Said a little differently, I trust the federal court clerk is not so incompetent as to distribute easily editable documents as official court documents.
While I'm not saying these documents are forgeries, they definitely are questionable.

Your writ is a cheap shot at Heath. If I were Heath I would pursue some action against you because it boarders on slander. But knowing how you think what else should we expect. Why don't you just hang a sign over your head that you support the 'good old boy system' in Paulding. Whether the documents are real or not you, being in the position you have, should withhold comments until proven factual or not. And of course if the documents are real do we expect you to recant? Absolutely not. You will probably come back with some other smear or nasty comment like you have in other races where your champion lost.
Until recently I wasn't sure which candidate I was going to vote for but now I know it won't be Carruth. It seems the career politician wants to be a career politician again. If he wins what Paulding road or building are we going to change to his name.

Only commenting as to the other poster's comment on how hamstrung Austin is with the county budget money, yet he, and THEY keep spending more and more trying to prevent us from getting inside a courtroom with the actual facts of the case.
After 6 freaking years of litigation isn't it time to let a jury hear the cases ?
Or just have the county keep paying Holland & Knight, and having the PAC donate money back to Paulding politicians ? OUR tax money going to H&K, and then back to our local politicans ? Although I am certain that MUST just be a coincidence........
Can you foreclose on the county? To bad you can't garnish the county treasury. Can you take it to the state for settlement? Put a lien on the courthouse. Get channel 5 out here with cameras.

FRANKLY this post should be on the political blogs but I can see why it isn't since certain influential controlling persons support his candidacy and being on Internet Cafe gives Carruth more exposure. Think about it. Fair is fair and right is right (and not left).
And for those that don't like Heath please explain so we will know what you know so as to help us decide whom to vote.

I don't care for Bill Heath either but let us not forget Bill Carruth as our Paulding County commissioner. He is a crooked, arrogant, pompous, #$%! He is the ringleader of the "Paulding County good ole boys" network. I'm not sure who was worse....Bill Carruth or Jerry Shearin. I will have to think long and hard on this one. I just don't see myself voting for Bill Carruth after some of the conversations I had with him. JMHO
Several old timers that have been around a lot longer than I said the same thing about Carruth. When is going to have a public speech and answer questions?
With both Pubby and JJ supporting him I will have to think long and hard. Two liberals don't make a right.

They reworked/repaired our church gutters and added more downspouts. Excellent work at a reasonable cost and were there when they said they would be. Highly recommend.

Does anyone have information about a house fire last night near Paulding HS that killed an elderly lady? I heard on AM 750 that the fire was so big it caught the house next door on fire. Does anyone know what the families need?

Did you also see where Barnes claimed on his 2008 and 2009 taxes that he claimed a house he did not own. Maybe his accountant used Turbo tax.
Barnes' people bad mouthing Deal's finances has come back to bite him.

In todays Atlanta Constipation there is a SMALL article burned on the back pages about how king Barnes filed taxes in 2008 and 2009 and claimed a house he DID NOT Own. Did he use Turbo tax? When something seems amiss with Deal it's always plastered on the front page. But when Barnes gets caught they bury it. What else can you expect from a liberal rag. Now Deals should come out with an ad that Barnes is not Mr. Clean. I heard Barnes on the news today saying he was going through tough economic times like everyone else. Yeah right mister millionaire. Unemployed people in Georgia struggling to feed their families and Barnes builds a mansion in Marietta and the has the nerve to say he is struggling. I bet it could only eat steak four times a week. The libertarian candidate is looking better and better.

Is this the same person that at one point quit the School Board because he did not get his way??
Is this the same person That Donated money to the "Support Paulding Schools" committee during the School Bond election, That crammed the school bond down the throats of the citizens of Paulding County?
Is this the same person that supported increases in School Taxes almost every year while he was serving on the School Board? While elected to the School Board?
Can Mr. Curl hold both positions if elected to the House of Representives, Or will he resign from the School Board to run for this office.
This is one candidate That has a past record that can be easily seen, Just look at the Tax Statement for the past several years as it relates to the SCHOOL TAXES you have paid, And the decision will be easy to not vote for Kim Curl.

It seems you are bashing him, and maybe at some point the others, since they are not Democrats. I can't wait until we get closer discussing the Governor's race. I keep hearing that Lowe's is coming to Paulding. Heard it was going across from doctor's building off 120 near 278 but then heard that was for hospital. Home depot perosn said Lowe's building to be open in spring. If so, where? Is there any truth to it?

It was a bad joke but, as TOW pointed out, she pimped out her kids during the election and this is what happens when you choose that path.
The sad thing about this is I truly believe that Palin is using this more as publicity than she is truly concerned about the taste of the joke.
Karma is a bitch...she's reaping what she sowed in the campaign when she threw out blatant lies and half-truths at the Obama campaign that served no purpose but to feed the deep-seeded paranoia in some of the extremist nutjobs at her rallies...the kind of nutjobs who we've seen in the news over the last few months who like to take care of matters with a gun (not all republicans, a very, very small number of EXTREMISTS). Palin should say "Apology not accepted!" When Imus made the remarks about the black girls basketball team people screamed so much and he got fired. Why are you not demanding Letterman be fired. Could it be Palin is a Republican? Your usual double standard comments.

If you click your heels three times while standing in your yard during a thunder storm and say "I love Obama" while doing it, the good fairy will come down and give you a small stimulus. A blot of lightning for standing outside during a storm exactly as dumb as voting for that idiot.

We are *NOT*, I repeat-*NOT* out of drought. What folks don't realize is that we may be getting 'slightly above' normal rainfall amounts now, but when you are almost 2 FEET in deficit and have been in deficit for several YEARS-that it takes a lot of rain to climb anywhere out of that. You have to get *normal* rainfall amounts consistently PLUS lots of extra to start to fill in the amount we're in debt. We have gained some ground, but people need to be aware that it could dry right out at any time and we will be right back where we were last year. What Georgia needs to do is practice water conservation all of the time!
Practicing water conservation is smart. However, why is the rainfall requirements set by what falls at the airport? There is a lot of heat rising from the runways and airplanes which can cause less rain in the gages. Why don't they take rainfall from the counties around metro and average them to make the average. Maybe the people in charge need to re-adjust the average rainfall based on the last five years. Also, could it be we are in a cycle caused by the sun? Nah. That's too scientific and not politically correct. If you go back fifty years you can see it's another cycle.
How can we be "in debt" to the rainfall level? How do we pay it back? Get a government bailout? Didn't the stimulus have a bucket of rain water in it? Maybe everyone should go to Lake Lanier's water edge and make a contribution.

With all this rain have you taken time to notice how much foliage there is on trees and bushes? They have exploded. Just check it out driving down the road. One of our dogwood trees has more leaves than in the past three years. My grands still go swimming despite the water being cold. There is hope later this week with temps going into the 80's and no rain.
