Halloween stuff has already hit the shelves. Ive been seeing Halloween stuff for about 2 weeks now. I love Halloween though so I dont mind. But yes, I completely expect to start seeing Christmas stuff hitting the shelves by early September. As soon as one holiday ends, the stores start selling for the next holiday. I have seen Valentine stuff in Walmart in late December.

Okay I watched the commercial and I honestly do not see anything in it that would be racist. These days people are offended WAY too easily and quite frankly Im sick of people pulling the race card at every opportunity. It seems to be worse now than back in the 80s and 90s, as if we are going in reverse with it all.

My 7 year old wants to join Cub Scouts, this will be his first year doing it. He is really excited about it!! His school is having Cub Scout night next week.

My internet is screwy today. It actually started last night. The connection is not stable. Connection times out often, cant get on Facebook hardly at all. Is this happening with anyone else or is it just me?

I have to agree, things have changed. People are quicker to lose tempers these days, these days people lookout for themselves only for the most part, greed is more rammpant, and schools have definitely changed!! Back when I was growing up, if your car broke down on the side of the road, someone stopped and helped .. always! Oh yes I know all about that! We drive used cars, and our vacations usually are something like Rock City or Six Flags. You get used to it, its definitely a trade off and you're right not everyone would want to do it.

I live in a one income household as well. My husband makes significantly less than 50K a year and we get by, and theres FIVE of us!! Its not easy but we do. Now that all 3 kiddos are in school during the day I am going to start working while they are at school, but I would not trade anything for the years I was here with my babies. I am very glad I was able to do so. I grew up in daycare and hated every second of it, I refuse to put my kids through that. And I would be all for virtual schools. I am one of those weirdos that gets kinda sad when my kids go back to school every year.

Yup, Sav A Ton is notorious for having bad gas, and has been for years. I have gotten bad gas from there back in the late 90s more than once, and of course I have never bought from there again because of it.

Can someone explain to me in simple terms WHY when oil goes up the prices at the pumps goes up immediately, but when crude goes down it takes forever for us to see the price drop at the pump? Oil is $82 a barrel right now but yet we are still at $3.60+ a gallon.

Its strange, the house I lived in right before this house, we ALL saw people walking past our big front window. Me, my husband, my kids and my mother in law have ALL seen a shadow of a man go past our window. Well the K12 program is a virtual school program and its been around for several years. I checked into it for my kids at one point.

I dont think its a bad idea. Internet service is overpriced. Its not a handout, the internet will be offered at a lower price $9.99 to those who qualify. Internet has become almost a necessity. Try looking for jobs and find one that doesnt require you to email a resume, or apply online. Also, all of my kids' teachers now communicate via email.

A lot of businesses have turned to hiring work at home employees as opposed to outsourcing. There are plenty of customer service jobs you can do at home - phone work, emails, live chat, etc. And it is major well known companies doing this - Comcast, CVS, Staples and sooo many more. Work at home jobs are not hard to get and you do not have to make an 'investment' to do them. It is a new trend that is here to stay.
