  1. We are renters so I have to do a small indoor antenna for now. Has anyone in Yorkville been able to get stations with the small ones you hook directly to the TV like this one Antenna. If we have to do a roof antenna we will have to wait, because our lease is up soon.
  2. Wouldnt happen at my house! I have a yappy chihuahua that will bark non-stop if anything comes within a 1/2 mile of our house.
  3. I will! I have read a lot of reviews on antennas and the cheaper $20 antennas get really good reviews so Im going with one of those. I just want channel 2 and 5 mostly so I can watch the news, and Judge Judy! LOL Im a little worried since I live in Yorkville and we have Vinson Mtn and all that nearby. I'll definitely let yall know if it works.
  4. The way I look at it is.... Cindy Anthony lied on the stand under oath about being at work when the 'chloroform' searches were performed. If she will lie under oath, she will lie to Dr. Phil. Like I said, Im not buying into anything at all that any of them have to say. And no its not a personal stab at the OP.
  5. I'm buying one this Friday!! We have decided to take the plunge and go local channels / Netflix only. Comcast is never what it is supposed to be, we consistently pay $150 for service that is supposed to be $98 a month. Im getting the $20 antenna from Best Buy that you hook directly to the TV for now and Im gonna see how that goes. I cannot install things, and neither can hubby. LOL
  6. I listen to the Big 90s Weekend on Star 94, and my kids call it 'old people music'.
  7. I refuse to watch any shows / interviews with ANY of the Anthony family!!
  8. I agree with R&Rmom. Anything Joe's!! He has a pretty good selection of phones, we have bought several from him.
  9. When I put in my address at that antennaweb.org site, its says there are no channels available in my area. UGH
  10. How hard are these things to install (the attic ones)? Is it as difficult as installing a satellite dish? And how much do they cost? I am ready to drop Comcast! I will just watch Pawn Stars and The Walking Dead online, thats all I watch that isnt local channels anyways.
  11. Yes, we temporarily became united and it was an awesome thing. I think we were all just glad to be alive. I was at work on 9/11, and after the 3rd plane hit the Pentagon, I went outside to smoke and everything just felt so weird. I kept looking at the sky afraid a plane was gonna go over and attack or something. We didnt know how many more attacks would happen. It was very, very scary. And then no planes in the sky for weeks. I went to Downtown ATL shortly after airplanes were allowed to resume flying, and I saw a big plane low flying going into Hartsfield and it freaked me o
  12. Yep the entire tone of Americans changed as a whole for about 2 weeks after 9/11. We truly were UNITED in those days. Everybody treated each other kindly, and helped each other. It was short lived though. As far as another terrorist attack, I really doubt there will be another airplane attack, it just wont happen. I really hate how Good Morning America was airing weaknesses in airport security on national TV. I mean really, how stupid are they? You know, our enemies probably watch our TV shows.
  13. We've never gotten those in our neighborhood. Im just curious, if its considered littering, wouldnt the Paulding Neighbor newspaper be considered litter too? I get one of those thrown in my driveway every Thursday, and I never read it, it goes straight in the garbage.
  14. That's why I say its sort of a good thing that we have never had a lot of money. Being broke is nothing new to us and we know how to deal with it. Those who have always lived cush lives are in for a culture shock when truly HARD times hit them. The bigger they are the harder they fall. And yes the economy is downright scary right now.
  15. The old brick style cell phones go for decent money on ebay!
  16. Heck no, Im leaving my windows open tonight, its gonna feel AWESOME!
  17. Yep from the first post it sounded like a suicide. I had a relative do the same thing years ago. He committed suicide in his car at a convenience store parking lot.
  18. I bought couscous by accident one time, I thought I was buying rice. It was the boxed kind. So I tried it, and I thought it was nasty and my family hated it too. Maybe the particular brand I bought was just gross, or maybe couscous in general is just gross but I will never buy that stuff again. Thats just my opinion.
  19. Well, wouldnt sex on the hood qualify for public indecency at the least? He should have been fired, its unprofessional, and Im pretty sure illegal. Get the lady's number, and hook up after your shift is over dummy!! Copschick, my hubby had a take home patrol car too and he was the same way. He was always cleaning that dang car like all the time. Oh well...
  20. I was wondering that also. It was supposed to be heavy rain after midnight last night, but it was dry when I woke up. BUT there's now a nice steady rain, and I think I heard light thunder too.
  21. Someone in my neighborhood does this. They park their truck right in front of their porch in the grass. And their grass hasnt been cut at all this year. The grass in their back yard has weeds that are at least 6 ft tall, no kidding! Nasty trashy people they are!
  22. Louisiana could get 20 inches or so, but here in NW Georgia the forecast is 3-5 inches, and 4-7 inches for north of the Atlanta area.
  23. My house foreclosed in mid 2007. The court date for the foreclosure was in the first week in June, and the pink evicition papers were tacked and nailed to our door in August. So it took about 2 months after court for the actual eviction part to proceed. We moved out well before then though. That kinda happened to us. We bought our home for $95K. It foreclosed and sold for $60K. It really made me mad. We tried our best to get Countrywide to work with us to keep our home, but nope they wouldnt do crap. We still live in the same neighborhood as our foreclosed home, we rent a hous
