  1. I had chicken parm, and the other half had the Italian sampler (I don't remember what it's called, but it had 3 different entrees on it.) It was DELISH! And....we brought home plenty. Very yummy, and a great atmosphere!
  2. The thread about the Mill Pointe break-ins has me thinking. Apparently, several neighbors were involved who don't even live in the same household. Now, how on earth do you manage to conspire to begin this type of activity?!?! When my friends and I are sitting around shooting the breeze, we might say things like, "Have you seen such & such movie? We should go!" or "I want to start exercising. Will you do it with me?" But in my wildest imagination, I can't fathom the conversation that would have to take place to begin this new "career"! Sorry....just had to vent!
  3. Audry's was hit twice - Halloween and Thanksgiving. I had the same thought.
  4. Aw, Mrs H, I'm putting them on my prayer list. I think most people are strong enough to handle anything that comes their way, where their own health is concerned, but when you have to face something like this with your child - it's a whole different story. Please keep us updated.
  5. And don't forget, it's the best way to lose weight!
  6. It has now become legend. We laugh about it all year long, and every other gift will forever be measured by it. It was the Christmas of 2000. My mom, who was always thinking of her new grandson, bought her favorite son-in-law (my husband) a...... Wait for it..................... CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR! I truly wish I had a video of his expression when he opened the gift! (What do you do when a "thank you" just isn't
  7. That was the first one I tried to turn to when I woke up. It said, "Channel Not Available." Then I turned the box off, and it wouldn't turn back on. I finally reset it, but it took FOREVER to do its business. Finally, D got out of bed, headed to check it out, and the resetting screen came on! So, now I'm getting my morning "fox"!
  8. We just had the same problem. We had to reset the box.
  9. Oh, no! That's right at Warehouse of Hope!
  10. I love Paulding County SO! They are some of the hardest working LEOs IMO. Sheriff Gulledge is an amazing leader, and he's built a great team. I've never encountered an officer that wasn't professional, friendly, and helpful.
  11. I did. Every single time. I understand mistakes, and I'm always willing to give people and businesses another chance. Usually four or five! The prescription mix-up was the last straw, though, and something I didn't think I could overlook. I did catch the mistake myself, before taking the medication. I called the pharmacist, the manager, and corporate. I'll say this, the customer service problems I had there all along obviously trickle down.
  12. That same pharmacy filled my prescription wrong, too, about 3 years ago. (Same medicine, but wrong strength.) I had a lot of issues with them, but that was when I said, "No more!" and changed pharmacies.
  13. That is awesome! I called my 10 year old in to see this. He wants to be a storm chaser when he grows up. He is fascinated by weather. He wants me to print this out as a poster for his room!
  14. Thank you, Austin, for your courage and sacrifice. Your bravery is your legacy. I'm humbled that you were willing to stand before me, to defend the freedoms that I sometimes take for granted.
  15. Two lessons that have always stuck with me follow: "GOT" - My 6th grade language arts teacher wouldn't let us use "got". For example, "I got out of the room as fast as I could." Instead, he required us to use a little more creativity. "I hurried out of the room" or "I slipped out as quickly as I could." "THERE" - My 11th grade English teacher took points off for using "There was...." for anything. As I thought about it, it's amazing how often I found myself doing it. I still catch myself today, and reword phrases! For example, "There was a time..." Instead say, "A time existed
  16. Oh, that's one of my FAVORITES! That's one (of many!) that my father in law is famous for.
  17. How about when young people need a "chaferone"?
  18. Me, too....well, not Illinois, but those other "wanna-bees" would shake in their boots when I walked in the room. I always won the spelling bee! I still remember the only word I ever missed on a spelling test - EVER. It was fourth grade. B - O - U - L - E - V - A - R - D And I'm bothered by all the things listed in this thread. I guess that means I have SERIOUS issues! Oh, yeah, and "SUPPOSABLY". It's SUPPOSEDLY!!!
  19. The one on 92 near Staples/K-Mart. I think they had to wait to review the tape to get a good description of him.
  20. I heard the call, and the initial response. I was busy at work, and I haven't heard anymore. Did they catch the lousy, filthy, piece of scum perp?
  21. Nope, I don't have any suggestions, but I want to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!
  22. Maybe if the elf sits on the shelf dangling the 16 year old's keys in one hand and the 10 year old's video game controller in the other? Hey, I think I'm on to something here!
  23. Ummm, do they have "Elf on a Shelf for Tweens and Teens"?
