  1. "I am a grown child, so what's your problem?" response: "You're acting like a 2 year old. We only do business with responsible adults."
  2. Instead they're saying 'Thinks got worse when the people who wear shoes showed up. Maybe if we kill them, things will get better."
  3. You're telling us you know for sure there isn't a single company in the private sector trying to come up with a cure for ebola?
  4. Exactly. Too many folks don't seem to be able to distinguish difference between the Constitutional role of the Federal Government and all the other roles that have been added over the years. Protecting the citizens is one of the top roles.
  5. One difference is they didn't have any delay in getting the blood samples in the Cobb County case to the CDC - it was just a matter in driving it there. From anywhere else in the country, the samples would have to be flown in.
  6. Actually, they just want to pacify the press. The press tells their supporters what to think and believe. Fortunately, that's becoming harder and harder as time goes on and the press - who've blindly supported Obama - slowly have their eyes opened to the truth. Unfortunately trying to convince the masses will take time.
  7. When the global cooling/warming/climate change/climate disruption first started it's like scientists convinced politicians and media that the earth was flat. The wouldn't allow any discussion - it was flat and no evidence to the contrary would change a thing. The politicians and media didn't understand the science behind it, but knew in their hearts the earth was flat and some even wanted to jail those who tried to present evidence otherwise. The scientists were able to get tens of millions in government grants to prove the flatness even more, and to identify the problems this flatness will ca
  8. The problem is, someone with AIDS doesn't have to put much effort into spreading it if they don't care.
  9. A study done during the last outbreak shows that survivors can still infect others for weeks after being 'cured.' That means a 3 week quarantine of those exposed won't be enough. A 2 month quarantine of those who've had it will also be necessary.
  10. You're right about those preparing the meat being at greater risk, along with those who consume undercooked meat. The problem is they aren't believing what the health professionals are telling them. For those interested, here's an article on the subject: Why West Africans keep hunting and eating bush meat despite Ebola concerns
  11. While they probably won't admit it, I beleve the politically correct segment of society belives the needs of the indivdual (one) outweighs the needs of society.
  12. It seems to be know that Ebola can be transmitted by eating monkey or bat meat. While that's not likely to happen in the US, the question would be can it be transmitted from other animals. The government killed a dog in Spain because the owner had Ebola. Did they know somthing or was it just a knee-jerk reaction?
  13. Here's an interesting article from a small study they did during the last Ebola outbreak: Ebola lab samples yield questions as well as answers Interesting that the virus can live in and be transmitted via some body fluids weeks after the paitent is 'cured.' One thing i would like to see addressed is the because it can live a short time in saliva, does that mean it can be transmitted via sneezing or cauighing? That may not be considered 'aerosol' but is airborn non the less.
  14. Because your title still says 'Ebola and Influenza', but your post seems to only describe AI, are you telling jus that Ebola, Influenza and AI all spread the same?
  15. It's been 15 or more years ago since the hysteria over global warming started, based on models and predictions of what would happen in the next decade. How many of those were anywhere near accurate? It's just like when scientists came out and told the people who would listen that the world was flat. No matter what evidence was presented, those who had been convinced refused to change.
  16. It's not an effort to ridicule. The title specifically names Influenza and Ebola. They are not listed by name in the body, so when the final line says " Do just don't kiss the chickens and you'll be OK.!!!" what is the reader supposed to think? Change the title to read Aivain Influenza instead of Ebola and it will make a lot more sense!
  17. Ebola is in the title of his post, so it appears he's telling us that not kissing chickens is the key to not getting ebola.
  18. I must ask, who developed these code words and can we get a list? I know I've and others have been accused of using them, but I know I've never seen the list.
  19. The problem is too many folks take pointing out flaws in someone's logic or even disagreeing with someone's viewpoint as bashing. I do see plenty of other sites where discussions and disagreements over the owner of the site's thinking are allowed and even encouraged. I don't recall any where G. Patton Hughes is 'bashed', or even discussed.
  20. Pubby, all I read was you calling the OP an idiot. You were very succinct in addressing TP, telling him planes don;t come from Monrovia, then calling him an idiot. We all know that's what you meant and you can't convince us otherwise - just like when you read our succinct and clear writings and decide we're supporting the KKK, Hitler and all other nasty things that you need a great leap of imagination to read into things, Except we don't have to imagine the word idiot.
  21. It looks like it's now allowed to call the OP an idiot.
  22. I read that the word is spreading to those who can afford plane tickets in Africa - If you think you're coming down with ebola, take a bunch of advil to control any fever and lie your way onto the plane. Once you're in the USA, you can rely on the government to give you the best medical care available.
  23. It turns out the miscommunication was probably caused by a flaw in how they used the medical records software: Ebola and the electronic health record gap
  24. Nearly every credible report I've heard and read. Do you have evidence that each location has a different strain?
