  1. After looking up Pinehill Investments on the paulding tax records this seems to join Harmony Grove Church Rd and Seven Hills area. Is this near our new reservoir?
  2. I just looked at the minutes of the Dallas city council meeting on June 6th. I saw the memorandum of understanding concerning Pinehill Investments and the Sheffield Highland property. I did not realize that the City of Dallas was in the sewer line business. What is up with this.
  3. Sounds like you have a big axe to grind with someone.
  4. With all due respect Pubby, I try to take my issues up with the proper authorities. Do you think that if I posted these issues ten years ago on pcom there might have been a different outcome. If so, then I made a big mistake, which I highly doubt. I do have enough intelligence to realize that the State and Federal EPD, DNR, as well as other enviornmental organizations can get a lot more done than pcom. I have lived in this county for many years and at my present location since 1956 and I am serious about protecting this creek and I do not take sewage spills lightly. I am not going to tip
  5. Dear Pubby- I would like to extend an invitation for you to visit our home and sit down to review our correspondence and pictures concerning our area of Griffin Creek. I have tried over the years to get these problems solved by going through the proper departments and following the so called chain of command but it has become a total joke. I do not care who knows who and what someone might do. I am sick and tired of all the BS and excuses that have been given to us. Let the chips fall where they may, but for the first time in twenty years some people have had the guts to speak out on our behal
  6. Beach Bum I think you are paid to be a smart A$$ on p-com. I hope the karma train visits you and dumps a load of crap right in your back yard. I thought pcom was a board to discuss issues but I see that it is not. You seem to thrive on making insulting remarks.
  7. Since the sewage spill has surfaced on this site I must voice my opinion. First of all Pubby, unless this has personally impacted your life your turd analogies are insulting. Everything that has a negative impact on the enviornment is a serious issue in my book. I was taught that we are to be good stewards with land we have been given. for the go people and not for a select few.
  8. The City of Dallas starts on Main Street at the fountain and stops at the end of Confederate avenue. I don't believe Ingles would qualify under city jurisdiction
  9. Dollar General on East Paulding Drive was robbed again this morning.
  10. Maybe the "hood" activity will decrease in the area with more state patrol cars being seen.
  11. We live in a house that was built in 1983 and love our place in the woods. The grandkids say "Granny, I like coming to your house because it is old timey and cozy. We walk thru the woods to an old out house and they ask if they can pee in that wooden closet. It is sad to me when they ask me to read something in cursive because they can't. I try to show them the older ways whenever I can. On the flip side of this they are tech savy and have to teach me .Times are changing.
  12. This topic of progress and the taking of property hits a raw spot with me. Our family home place has been here since 1956 and yes we have seen a lot of growth around us. I don't think this topic has the room for the correspondence or pictures regarding the City of Dallas and their substandard sewer line that has cut thru our property (twice). We have had to deal with spills, overflows, odors, creek sediment and now erosion. The horror story started in 1983. The first time we tried working with them and got burned so the second they had to play the eminent domain card. The City still got
  13. I need information on a night vision camera. Any reccomendations? I want to see what is visiting our creek.
