  1. I ordered a 2019 xts it is on it's way. Now hubby is back peddling due to the repairs being expensive and how quickly it depreciates. With my fybromyalgia and facet syndrome I am willing to make sacrifices for comfort, him not so much. I am going to test drive a lexus this week. If the lexus is not as comfortable it might be the Nissan Murrano.
  2. “Operation End Game” Targets On-line Child Predators “Operation End Game” Targets On-line Child Predators July 29, 2019 Athens, GA (July 29, 2019) – As a result of a proactive undercover investigation coordinated by the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit (CEACC) the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia, and the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney’s Office, nine people wer
  3. They don't want to ruin their perfect bedroom community. I might point out we are building a newer larger jail. It will hold lots of people that spent 20 hours or less with their parents growing up. Not only are the taxes going up, so is child care. The lifestyle of families surviving on 40,000 a year in this county feels too much like poverty to some due to the expense of our lifestyle here. The folks I see crying about their lovely lifestyle tend to be self employed here or locally employed. I hate going even to Marietta. It takes 20 to 40 minutes to get me out of the county. There is no rout

  5. Wow I wanted to see it too and time got away from us. The 2 at Atlanta were beautiful.
  6. Spiders are harder to kill than other insects. Most of the poisons are very toxic. I had an infestation of black widows in the stones I use for landscaping. They were so aggressive they would go after the grass trimmer. We had to poison them it was just too dangerous. Their venom is a neurotoxin that can cause lifetime issues. I feel for these people I can't imagine the nightmare. A new home should be a good life change.
  7. Paulding students score above state average on most spring 2019 Milestones tests Paulding students' average scores exceeded the state average on most spring 2019 Georgia Milestones tests. 8. Paulding County family discovers venomous spider infestation on move-in day "Crap, we just bought this death trap," Photianos said. And these aren't your average creepy crawlers; their bite comes with a poisonous punch that can cause severe skin lesions, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. One family friend knows from personal experience, after helping move items out of the house last week. "I've been bit [sic] by just about anything, but that was by far the worst," the family friend told FOX 5 News, who wanted to remain anonymous. "It was very painful." He sai
  9. I updated with pictures. I miss my old phone it took awesome pics.
  10. Why would someone ban you for this? You are not the only one to think this. It is tragic and hindsight is 20/20 there were clearly mistakes made by people that should follow protocol to the letter. I don't see Gary patting anyone on the back saying it will be ok son. There is nothing wrong with your level of concern either. This was bad, really bad.

    Update on Bear

I always hear the dog asking why you cripple me why why why!!! I think you have to start when they are tiny!!!
  12. Is that what it was? I couldn't really follow it well enough. I assumed it was commentary on local politics which would be relevant to this issue. What is relative is that the huge industrial parks seen in surrounding counties did not happen without infrastructure paid for by taxpayers and an industrial building authority that knew what to do. Not only that but there has to be sacrifices at this point, big ones for us to even entertain catching up. There is only one thing that will ever help this county grow industry and catch up. We would have to do whatever it took and have the right people
  13. I will sign. My poor son thought it was a holiday and thought school should be out
  14. The board has different people now. This board did not make that decision. I could say more about the integrity of some of those people but they are gone and it is water under the bridge. It is obvious that our surrounding counties have done something right and Paulding has not. I am sick to death of parks. It takes almost a 1/2 hour or more to get in or out of this county on the existing roads. Our children barely see their parents. Build better roads. Everywhere I look I see new government buildings being built on bonds of course. I see almost no industry. We are finally getting the reservoi
  15. I just noticed that yesterday. It is huge!
  16. Does it really make sense to give the money back, then ask for more money to put in infra structure or build industrial buildings. We don't have much move in ready industrial sites in the county. Until we do the home owner is on the hook for all the counties needs. The restaurants and retail our citizens slobber over don't make a dent in the tax needs of our county/ The difference between household and business is you have to spend money to make money. We have overwhelming competition within a 20 mile radius of Paulding for industrial business.
  17. I really wanted to see the botanical gardens this year. I would have like to have gotten there at peek season about 3 weeks ago but this is close enough. This cold front is going to make it awesome. I will post pictures after I get back. Some know that I have these 2 young women from Puerto Rico for neighbors. 2 sisters with a young son each. The younger sister has a debilitating auto immune disease. Much like me she has good days and bad days. The biggest challenge is fighting depression which sometimes is more life threatening than the disease. I have been teaching her to garden so we
  18. Paulding board seeking answers about legality of not giving studio sales proceeds to bond payer Can a county authority formed to recruit new industry legally use the money from a sale of a building if someone else has been repaying the loan used to build it? Or must it give the money to the governing body which backed the bond financing used to build the facility? County Attorney Jayson Phillips said he is working to find what state law requires in such cases after County Commissioner Ron Davis asked him to research the issue during a public hearing on the county budget Tuesday, July 23.
  19. Hubby is trying to talk me into that one.
  20. Thanks I will put it on my list of test drives. It is in my box with price and gas mileage.
  21. He will still use the pick up truck as his daily driver. My car will be used for weekends and trips to the beach or the mountains.
  22. I am looking much smaller. He likes the idea of the Highlander. I have enjoyed driving Franky's little Honda. I am very surprised that I did. We have talked about a compromise with a Subaru Forester or Outback. The problem is the leg room in the front passenger seat on most of the smaller vehicles. The Forester did not have the legroom We had hoped for.
