Mine is Stateside and will be home tomorrow!

Mine is Nick Parker and will be back on US soil in 29 Palms California sometime near the end of January. His block leave begins and his arrival in Paulding County is February 8. My son also graduated from EPHS. We live off of Ivey Gulledge in Ivy Grove subdivision. His wife is from Paulding as well and has been staying with her parents on Rosehall Lane in 7 Hills. While he's here, they usually split their time at both houses. I don't know what Unit your Marine is tied to but my Marine son is also coming home the first week in February after being in Afghanistan since September. This is his second trip to the sandbox and hopefully the last. I agree with everyone else, keep it simple. The real world has been on pause since they left and can be a little overwhelming until they get reacclimated. I have had an HRA fr the last several years (by choice). It does take a little while to get used to and requires some due diligence with budgeting. Wonderful accomplishments!!!! I too am a Marine MOM and feel and share your pride! And wow Recon! That is impressive. My son is an Infantry Marine and also left for Parris Island not long after he graduated from HS on 2010. Then like yours he went to Pendleton for SOI. He arrived in Afghanistan about a month before your son and came back Stateside earlier this year <sigh> Since my son was in delayed entry here in Paulding, chances are they know each other. Ok, I've read through this entire post and am still trying to understand the 2.2% decrease! Im still scratching my head. I guess since my premium is going up 28% and my co-payments are going up $10 per visit, the math on mine is a little easier for me to understand. I'm not sure where the blame falls for such an enormous increase, and it really makes little difference. It's going up! That's all that really matters to me. The decrease in the health spending account just adds insult to injury!!

Yep! That's where we are heading. My husband and I both opened accounts at LGE Credit Union last week. As soon as we get direct deposits switched we will be closing our accounts even though our banks have anounced this week they are discontinuing debit card fees. I agree, all of the big banks will do away with the debit card fees to try and slow the pace of customers leaving but rest assured they will find some other way of making up the difference.
