  1. Fine. Then answer question one. ...and please notice that question 3 can be used for ANYTHING. It could have been used for a blacksmith, a clothing store ANYTHING. Where does it allow for the American people to be FORCED to purchase something they do not want?
  2. Or he's the same guy he always was and views each issue not through party eyes but logical ones. I assure you, I'm the same Go Blue. This one is just such a no brainer in the stupid catagory I don't get how anyone can support it.
  3. Yeah "general wellfare" doesn't mean free anything in my book....but I will streach and give them that one, but the other two must be answered as well.
  4. I don't care if you hate, like, or love Obama. I don't care if you are a R, D, I or L. I want someone to tell me the answers to these three basic questions. Anyone. I have asked over and over and no one can answer. I don't want debate. I simply want an answer to these. If you can't answer don't reply. 1. If we all agree that neither business or insurance are going to decrease profits AND we all agree that insurance companies can no longer refuse or have different rates then HOW can the gov't keep their promise that our money will not come into play? Who is going to pay for these ex
  5. Still does not answer the question....and no Pubby you know that I have not been preaching the train wreck. I started that when I saw my new rates and saw the reason why. I don't like being forced to pay for others. I earned my money. They didn't. Now, Please answer how we can be forced to insure EVERYONE at the same rate and not increase rates for the average American as was promised because we KNOW that the insurance companies and our employers aren't going to lose profits to do it. No politics. Just Math. I won't even get into the fact insurance is not a right, I don't see anywhere in t
  6. I'm taking the politics out of it. I'm simply asking someone that is for Obamacare to explain to me how it works from a mathimatical point of view (not costing the average American more money as was promised), NO ONE can do that yet. Left, Right or otherwise.
  7. Pubby my rates went up due to the fact the insurance companies can no longer turn down people. As the manager of my store, I see the raw numbers, no spin, no BS. They have to insure more folks that cost more money. As capitalist they aren't going to take this out of their profit, they are going to pass it on to the companies. The companies as capaitalist are going to pass the increase on to their employees in some way shape or form. No I won't get over that I am now paying more because we give health care away to those that feel others should have to pay for their life problems. Personal respo
  8. I actually say it's more communistic then socialist. Socialism is spreading the wealth equally and providing services equal for all. This is a direct order for the gov't that makes them money. The market example holds no water as you are FORCED to play in this market no matter if you want to or not, clearly agains the founding princples of this nation. My issue with this has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with basic math, the founding documents of this nation, and common sense...Obamacare has literally taken money from my bank account and the bank account of my employees for
  9. I'm about to turn 37 and just the other day, after spending a few days with my old man I realized I'm turning into him. We have always looked a like and shared the same attitude about politics and other "big" things but its the small things that I'm starting to notice are becoming the same. For example we both eat Grape Nuts and Bannas for Breakfast with two cups of black coffee every weekday - usually at the office. The first thing I do when I get home is change cloths. I always forgot he did the same thing when I was a kid. You didn't bug dad until he had 15 minutes to change clothes
  10. Don't care if you are a republican, democrat or space alien. Obamacare is not capitalistic. To argue otherwise is simply foolish and frankly uneducated.
  11. Is there a new generation of 60-70 year olds that need something to watch on TV? What's next Matlock and MacGuyver redos?
  12. It doesn't work like that in Ky. This is actually the state that provides the service but here it isn't "free". The don't call it a fee, but if you make X amount in your household you pay for your share. If you make X amount more you pay yours and others. I have no issue paying my share. It's paying the others that grinds my ass.
  13. that statement is part of the problem. our rights are now a game.
  14. It's not, it's a factual statement based on what they are looking at. Per person per violent crime you it is the most dangerous. It doesn't say it has the most crime, etc. It's simply stating a fact based on the information it is giving. No one thinks less of Tenn. If they would have said Michigan it would be front page news because it would fuel the fire that Detroit is a 3rd world country.
  15. I disagree it's the only thing that can be done. I sound like one of those right wing idiots on Fox News but at the very least I have contacted my reps in both the state and national capital and I report stores and customers that abuse the system. It may amount to nothing but it's better then doing nothing. Maybe if more folks reported the abuse of the system we can cut down on it.
  16. 1. Agreed 2. The kid actually knew his rights, how is that being stubbron? 3. Agreed 4. Yup.
  17. Anyone surprised by this has never been to Memphis. It has all the crime of Detroit, Chicago etc. but then when you factor in the number of folks and how rural the rest of the state is per capita the number goes through the roof. Take Michigan for example. Yes, Detroit, Flint and Pontiac are always in the top blah blab blah for crime but you have cities like Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Kalaamzoo that are just as populated with a really low crime rate so per capita it averages out.
  18. Guilty until proven innocent. It is amazing what rights folks will allow to be taken away in the name of "protection and security"
  19. Detroit is an all sports town to be honest. It's really all there is up there. One of the best days of my life was going from the Lions game right across the street to Commerica Park to see the Tigers playoff game after a quick stop at the HockeyTown bar for a beer and to catch the Red Wings score. ...Sports are just bigger in the north and midwest EXCEPT college football. We like it, just not as much as you all down here do.
  20. To make you really sick there is now a "food stamp challenge" where you are suppose to spend the 1.49 per meal per day per month per person to feed your family and "see if you can do it". What bullcheeze. If you shopp with half a brain you can do that without trying. Infact I can't do the "challenge" because my budget is LESS the my food stamp budget would be AND that includes food for my dog, cleaning supplies and Beer money....and I'm not at all hurting or scraficing at my budget. The OH woah is me I'm on Food stamps and WIC and everything else and can't eat well etc. is such F'n BS. Everyti
  21. I wouldn't say that persay. I think a lot of it is the time of year. They extended the season so it so that it is well into football and other seasons and this is a football nation.
  22. I feel sorry for you. I suggest retaking it until you get a better result.
  23. Thank you! Thank you to all the DC Suits that think handouts will HELP people because folks like me can just keep making more. Here is a GREAT example of where government hand outs are going to be the complete downfall of our economy. My household income falls almost smack in the middle of “middle class” range based on what I have read the suites in DC consider being “middle class”. I work hard. I have since I was 14 years old and I have EARNED EVERY DOLLAR I have ever made. My son has a few delays in his development. Nothing major, but “issues” we want to get corrected. We enrol
