  1. Ya know...I don't post much on the board. I read mostly. Never seems to be much going on. Kinda like a Soap Opera. You can watch once or twice a month and still pick up where you left off. So when I do post it's usually just to make a statement. I log off after I make that statement because I'm right and I do not need to argue my point with you. But I am pretty sure with today's statement I will be speaking to someone for sure that was at the Hiram Walmart today and yesterday.

Please get your children under control. Just because you don't know what to do with them, they are not everyone else s problem. Take them somewhere. They are children. Surely you knew that they were out of school this week enough time in advance. You have had all year to plan for it. It's like cat owners that just assume it's the neighborhood cat. If I wanted one I would most definitely buy one or possibly two. That's what I do. I buy whatever I want. Of course this week I will stay out of stores because they seem to be occupied and used as playgrounds.

And don't give me that it takes a village garbage blah blah blah. That's just a BS way of saying..."I had too many kids and I want to make you as miserable as I am". I'll bet you that your buying them fattening sugary treats to go home and sit in front of the screen playing video games all day so you don't have to deal with them. So why on earth would somebody else?

    That is all.

  2. If it isn't an emergency- I do not drive in the dark and rain. If it wasn't raining- I'd go... Won't see me tonight...

Me neither, the driving at night. I need to go on a Thursday night and you were the one I was gonna ask.

  3. I need to get glasses and I keep seeing an advertisement for 2 complete pair of eyeglasses with a free eye exam, $69.99. has anyone else tried to take advantage of this deal? Is it really this cheap or are there hidden fees?

Is this one of those America's best things? It will really run you about $150 as there are all kinds of hidden fees, but that's still really cheap! Keep in mind, so are the frames!

I actually got out paying $89.00 and then go online to 39dollarglasses.com and pick up a few extra pair!

HEMA is a Dutch department store The first store opened on

    November 4, 1926, in Amsterdam . Now

there are 150 stores all over the Netherlands . HEMA also

has stores in Belgium , Luxemburg, and

Germany In June of this year, HEMA was sold to

    British investment company Lion Capital.

Take a look at HEMA's product page. You

can't order anything and it's in

Dutch but just wait a couple of seconds

and watch what happens. Don't click

on any of the products pictured, just wait and see what

happens. And be sure you have your sound turned up.

This company has a sense of humor and a great computer

programmer, ya? Also note the names of some of the items!!!!!

  6. …how someone on this board can ask for prayers for a neighbor family who has suffered a horribly tragedy, and after telling them that she isn’t at liberty to give details, many keep asking anyway.

Then, after getting the details, they get upset about who told who what and what gives “them” the right to talk, and even more so they get off on why it is ok to talk about something that happened 500 miles away but not something that happened in our own neighborhood.

What the hell is wrong with people? Nothing ever satisfies them no matter how it is presented or who presents it, or what it is about. I have no problem understanding it all. How about you?

  7. I got an e mail from my Daddy this morning. He retired 33 yrs with Lockheed back in 1989 as a Field Service Rep for the West Coast. He only retired because Lockheed was bringing the coastal reps back to Marietta as a cut back. He didn't want to leave his Mission Viejo CA lifestyle.

We moved around a lot but after my parents split up I was with him every other weekend during these years. Those are some of my best memories as I was always hanging around the hangers. We would bike ride to Mt Vernon and picnic on the Potomac to watch the planes land. Good Times!

I never understood how privileged I was to have been inside Nixon's private jet, H.J. Heinz ketchup red jet and even the KISS ( rock band) jet. Air Force One was always around....

Just thought I would share his email. :)

During my assignment at Andrews AFB Special Air Missions Squadron for Lockheed (1972 - 1977) I had the opportunity to fly on Jimmy Carter's Air Force One. It was the same plane used by Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford

(a Boeing 707). Although the 747 is much larger the routine in the maintenance hangar and aboard the aircraft doesn't seem to have changed much. The SAM

Squadron was very proud of their Air Force One departure reliability rate of 99%.

This rate would undoubtedly have been a bit lower if not for the fact that for every flight with the president a back up aircraft is parked on the ramp next to Air Force One ready to go in case something breaks at the last minute! Tom

    ANG,

Its a small world, I retired from Lockheed in 2002 (after 32 years) and I too was a Field Service Rep. Your Dad's and my paths may have crossed at least once.

Wow! Well I kept my Daddy's name....Witbeck as I have God, my Daddy, and Lockheed to thank that I didm't have to grow up in a West German Orphanage

Small world.. Dad retire from customer training about that same time..he had worked for field service too.

As kids we never thought that being around planes was a big deal.. I still have a set of c-130 manuels around somewhere.

    bb

Dad had at lest 5 shelves of huge blue manuals lining the garage  Haven't a clue what was in them...

This sounds really cool. Funny you sent this thread, I watched the movie Airforce One with Harrison Ford last night.

    :)

  9. Why do you keep saying this is all Bush's fault? How many times do we have to say it is the fault of the Democrats (and a few Republicans) who insisted on giving mortgage loans to those who did not qualify. Some banks were even forced into it by threats to make business disappear if they did not co-operate. I don't know how many times this has to be rehashed! Bush made a lot of mistakes but the blame for this economy is not his alone.

    Here here

Whats happening is the republicans are pulling out their money and putting it overseas so the dems will have no one but themselves to blame.

Crashing crisis I tell you.....
