My son said the gifted program in Elementary, middle school were lifesavers for him. He is headed towards a Phd in Math. Without these gifted programs, some students will be lost!

There is heavy traffic in NC too. Its wasn't just in Atlanta. My husband couldnt get home from 113 from Cartersville. NC had trucks out spreading before it got bad. No kids had to stay at school or on buses. Don't wait till after its already gotten bad. I think people here also panic. Who knows but its makes Ga look crazy!!! My son watched the craziness on the news in NC.

Our son lives in NC attending Wake Forest. They released him, had no problem b/c the roads had been salted and scraped. Why can't Ga do that when other states handle it. Some counties in Ga seem to handle the situation with the roads. It took my husband 5 hours to do a normally 30 min commute. No salt trucks the entire time he was out there.

The tree that the eagles are in is where they had intended to build the football field. They had to find a different location to play football. My son graduated from Berry last year, beautiful college!!!

A fundraiser is done in Feb for heart disease called Jump Rope for Heart!!! AMEN!!!

My son attends Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC. It amazes me at how many people sit with signs on every corner wanting money. Its the same people every time I visit. One of them always has expensive, new looking tennis shoes. Maybe someone donated them to him. Maybe some are poor college students!!!I tried to get my son to do it. lol

I think it being a money maker was the businesses down main street profiting from the parade. The crowds do visit and spend money in the stores. We all know the ptofit from the parade entries are to help the needy.

Wallaces started out being good but got bad at the end. The fries tasted burnt and like they were fried with a hundred other things. The bun on the BBQ would be soggy. Would love a good BBQ place with a good salad to open up.

Wish someone would open up a good place to eat there!!!!
