  1. Paulding cases jumped to 12 overnight. Ya'll be careful and stay home!!
  2. Paulding has 7 cases so far. Bartow has 93, Cobb 119, Dekalb 137 , Dougherty 164 and Fulton 231. Keep your distance people!! From the GA Dept of Health: The number of Hospital rooms used keeps climbing. Lots of bad cases. Still hopeful we can use distancing to keep this under the line. 3. Rumor has it he will declare a federal state of emergency. He needs to man up on this one. This crisis will take leadership, not tweets, to restore confidence.
  4. Some friends of mine raise Alpaca and have for years. They have many awards from shows that they have won. We had a ministry Christmas Party at their house and we went out and visited with the animals. It was pretty neat. This event seems like it would be fun!
  5. Too late. The yard is awash in everything *except* grass. I'm going to spray it if we have a warm sunny day with no rain forecast for a day or two.
  6. If I get a winter cold, the cough and post-nasal drip will usually last for 4+ weeks after I finally fight off the cold. If I get a lung infection, it can be 6-8 weeks before I finally it get all cleared out. With this wet winter/spring so far, expect allergies to be bad as well. I just stay on the Over the Counter drugs to try to get a good nights sleep as I feel that is critical for healing. Also, not sure how old your son is, but some guys at work got me to take large amounts of Vitamin C when I was getting sick on a trip. I was skeptical, but it was the shortest cold I'd ever had and recovery was faster too. I take the nature made 500 mg chewables. That might help some if he's older. (I wouldn't try it on anyone less that 18 without discussing with his doctor first.)
  7. Funny you should mention that since the construction news on the RCR website hasn't been updated since 1st Quarter of Last year, the original completion date. They have a few pictures from Sept, when the dam was supposed to start filling (6 months late, but I will say I expected that with all the rain we've had for the last 2 years) However, rumor that I've heard is that it's still empty, as the county screwed up the dam construction and can't get the Corps to approve starting the filling process. Thus, no news. Since I've seen no logging trucks coming out, I tend to believe the rumor as they are supposed to be logging the area as it fills to keep dirt washout to a minimum. So until they can fix it, we get to pay for the dam construction *and* pay Cobb to process our water!! Lucky us!
  8. The Locus swarms in Africa/ middle east and now China are not getting a lot of press here, but there is a possibility of severe famine in those areas as the swarms can eat a field clean of crops in just hours. Insecticides and direct killing of the beasts are the primary attack mode in most countries. They have moved into extreme western China now, but the Chinese govt is using a green solution to fight back. Ducks. Lots and lots of Ducks. I hope that this method works for China, but the middle east and Africa could be in for massive starvation if the weather forecast holds and the swarms continue to get bigger.
  9. What is this "Sun" you speak of on your Ad? Have not seen this phenomenon... Whatever is of VALUE to you!
  10. You won't believe how much more distance you get from a second story deck vs the porch.
  11. Our church and two others have put this on a couple of years now. This was my first and it was at our building for the first time. Just an awesome night for the guests and their caretakers. I had a blast watching the guests dance and have fun.
  12. JMHO - Let's face it, someone can find something that is "lowering property values" pretty much anywhere if they want to. Ask anyone who lives in an HOA community with zillions of "rules" which they will quickly claim are "to protect our property values!" Ever leave your garage door open for more than 2 minutes? You are lowering property values. Have a non-standard rabbit statue under your hedge? Nope, remove it! You are impacting Property values!! Next they want all the boats and campers removed from the property because they are impacting property values. Then your car can't be over 5 years old, then your kids can't leave their bikes in the front yard for lunch without getting a notice. Bah. Unless you are in the process of trying to sell, the only thing higher property values get you is the ability to give more money to Paulding County Govt in property taxes to spend however they want. We've had a neighbor parking his boom truck in his driveway for over a year across the street. Since houses are selling as fast as they are put on the market, I don't see it impacting much of anything.... As long as the vehicle is in good condition, I just don't see the point. If it's a non-running wreck parked in the front yard grass, then you have a case.
  13. Well with the Iowa results, this race could get interesting....
  14. It's a pain to change twice a year, but I think people will regret it around here when it gets dark at 8:00 on July 4th or kids are going to school in pitch black dark at 7:00 am, depending on which way they pick as "standard".
  15. Same Issue I am having. Pubby (I think) deleted a bunch , but still left me only a little space left. There should be a delete option, but I'm thinking the standard user isn't being given delete rights or something.
  16. So... if the aid was outside of the campaign and the President himself didn't know about it, how exactly is he supposed to refuse this aid? Should #EXPRESIDENToftheUnitedStates have been impeached for providing funds to help oust Netanyahu even if the state department didn't know that was what was happening?
  17. My hope is the Senate will drag this out for a couple of months and keep the three Senate candidates for President on their butts in the Senate in case a vote is called instead of on the campaign trail.
  18. So... I guess inviting him to the Chili Cook-off at church a couple of weeks from now would not be a good idea?
  19. Kombucha (also tea mushroom, tea fungus, or Manchurian mushroom when referring to the culture; botanical name Medusomyces gisevii) is a fermented, slightly alcoholic, lightly effervescent, sweetened black or green tea drink commonly consumed for its supposed health benefits.
  20. Looks like all the media fear mongering about WW3 was for naught. Though it may still cause a revolt in Iran.
  21. Lost a 12" pine in the back. Had no idea it was half rotten at the base, the bark had covered the damage. Only damage was it landed on three of my tomato cages. They will never be the same. Neighbor down the street lost one about the same size, hit the power lines and broke them. Greystone was able to fix it about 3:00 am. A huge thanks to the crews working all night long. Most of us are very used to our electrical conveniences!
