a very wonderful PCOM person brought in the BIGGEST load of toys I have ever seen today wub.gif !! and we had a lot of treats brought in and shared --- all of the furry ones say THANK YOU!! Dry food was another great donation today smile.gif

If anyone is going on Sunday, can you please take some bleach? about the very last of the supply was exhausted today and it is SO important to keeping our fantastic shelter sanitized! You wouldn't believe all the individuals I ran into today from other counties (I know I had talked with people from Henry, Bartow, Dekalb, Cobb, and Fulton as a minimum), all told me that we had the BEST shelter of the ones they had visited recently - how is that for compliments! Can someone help? Laundry soap would be wonderful too ... very low stock right now.

As far as water bottles, I am not sure what you use them for but what about Crystal Light 16oz. bottles?

In addition to my cat food, I will start saving any newspapers I get, old socks(wish I knew sooner), the bottles mentioned above if you accept those.

It will get better if when I get something going on laws and such.

If they can be squished and make "crackle" noises - then Yes, I believe those bottles will work! FYI - we make toys for the large dogs with them (and they love them). thanks for your donations!

Sooch - Thank You!

If they can be squished and make "crackle" noises - then Yes, I believe those bottles will work! FYI - we make toys for the large dogs with them (and they love them). thanks for your donations!

Sooch - Thank You!

Great, I'll begin saving them too.

URGENT - Empty WATER BOTTLES needed!

I know it may sound strange, but our Super-Talented Toy Makers are out of bottles to make more toys! It's hard to explain if you haven't witnessed it, but the joy and comfort the shelter dogs receive lying around and playing with their toys is amazing! wub.gif

If you've been saving, please bring them to the shelter asap. If not, please start saving them! wink.gif

I only have about 10 bottles but I will bring them in tomorrw along with my pledge for the month. Also have some cat toys and treats and dog toys and treats. How are you doing for shampoo, bleach and detergent. I think we need to try and round up some MULAH for a new washer and dryer that will accommodate those blankets and comforters. Whatcha think?

sooch ~ A new washer/dryer would be nice, but that SHOULD fall under the County's responsibility to provide it. I'll check and see if there is any chance it could be included in this year's budget. Usually it's a matter of "if it's working, it's good enough." sad.gif

I'm not sure on the bleach/detergent, but will check. There again, it falls under the county's responsiblity, but the shelter operates under a very tight budget that can limit those purchases to a degree. wink.gif

Thanks Dsyfunctional & MISTY (or is that IMSTY?) .... our toy elves are the greatest and are just making toys galore! Just a side wish that there wasn't so many at the shelter who needed toys .......
I'll update if we get too many, but I don't think that will happen any time soon ...

if anyone is cleaning out clothes or blankets which are fleece or socks - PLEASE send them our way! All are needed for the toys for our furry ones stuck at the shelter!! smile.gif

I didn't read all the post but are you still collecting the "weight circles" from Purina dog food?
