wasn't there snickerdoodles at the humane society bake sale?

who made those and are you willing to share the recipe?

or can anyone supply me with the "best" snickerdoodle recipe ever?

My mom has the best! I'll give you her phone number if you want to call her and get it from her! (I refuse to have recipes, I might have to make them if I did.)

Here is a recipe that we got off the net recently. They turned out pretty good and were easy to make.

Happy Holidays!

Snickerdoodle Cookies

* 1 1/2 cups Sugar
* 1 cup Shortening -- soft
* 2 each Eggs
* 2 3/4 cups Flour
* 2 teaspoons Cream of tartar
* 1 teaspoon Baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon Salt
* 2 tablespoons Sugar
* 2 teaspoons Cinnamon




Preheat oven to 375F.
Mix 1 1/2 c. sugar, shortening and eggs. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, and soda. Chill dough. Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts. Com- bine 2 t. sugar and cinnamon. Roll cookies in this mixture.
Bake for 8-10 mins., cool completely on wire racks.

when I make what I call snickerdoodle cookies I just make sugar cookies and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture on top of them before I cook them. They turn out pretty good
