So I have a problem. I stray curr dog showed up at my house the other day and she was starving so I fed her and now she won't go away. I know I shouldn't have fed her but I can't just watch a dog starve to death. The problem is that my 2 year old and 4 year old won't even go out to play now because they are deathly afraid of her. She is not very big and never bites but she likes to jump and play. I think she may still be a puppy. To top it all off my 4 year old is allergic to dogs! So here I am trying to get rid of my pet bunny and somehow have ended up with a dang dog too........ Please help!

Take it to the shelter. She will have plenty of food, a warm place to sleep and a chance to find a home.

The only suggestions I have is to find a home for it or to call Animal Control. Sadly, they are so overcrowded that calling them may end up in the dog being put down. However, he is not your dog and it is also not fair or right for your children to be unable to play without fear of a stray. Its a tough decision but if the dog decides to stick around you will have to do something or end up with a pet.

Call the shelter or take it to the shelter......There, the dog will be safe and loved and, even if it ends up euthanized, it's much better than starving/freezing/dying after being hit by car/shot and left/, etc........

^ That's the truth ... at least she will be safe as well, it really isn't that bad a place to be.

If you take it to the shelter, please take it to the shelter of the county in which you live.

If friendly and healthy (and not reclaimed), it can be adopted.
