Mrs. Cennia Elizabeth Prater age 83, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Monday November 2, 2009 at her residence in Cobb County.



Mrs. Prater was born September 19, 1926 in Cherokee County, Ga, the daughter of Andrew Jackson Garrett and Pearl Lou Bravely. She was a member of the Church of God. Mrs. Prater worked in the textile industry. Her favorite pastimes were fishing and cooking.



Mrs. Prater is survived by her brother Mr. Bobby Garrett of Carrollton, Ga; 3 sisters Mrs. Myrtle Brown & Mrs. Pauline Walker both of Acworth, Ga; and Mrs. Becky Winters of Dallas, Ga; 4 daughters Mrs. Lois West of Hiram, Ga; Mrs. Carolyn Cole, Mrs. Janice Thornton and Mrs. Janet Osmer all of Dallas, Ga; 1 daughter in law Mrs. Wanda Mundy of Acworth, Ga; 25 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and other beloved family members and friends.



Mrs. Prater was preceded in death by her loving parents Mr. Andrew Jackson Garrett and Mrs. Pearl Lou Bravely Garrett, 5 brothers Mr. Howard Garrett, Mr. Hoyt Garrett, Mr. Leon Garrett, Mr. Weldon Garrett, Mr. Douglas Garrett, 3 daughters Mrs. Catherine Stoker, Ms. Beverly Diane Mundy, & Mrs. Lucinda Willingham, 1 son Mr. Avery Mundy and 1 granddaughter Amanda Mundy.



Funeral Services for Mrs. Prater will be held at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Thursday November, 5, 2009 at 3:30 PM, with Reverend Ricky Edwards officiating. Music will be provided by Jennifer Bennett and Wanda Bennett. Pall Bearers will include Jeff West, Jerry West, Joey Willingham, Bobby Willingham, Eddie Cole, and Charlie Stoughton. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.



Mrs. Prater will remain at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday November 4, 2009 from 5 PM – 9 PM. As well as Thursday November 5 from 9 AM until the service begins.

Ms. Prater left quite a legacy. My condolences to the family. May she rest in peace.

RIP Aunt Cennie! I am glad you are in a better place with no more pain.
