Problem with IE 8 (and probably 7) identified and fixed? Maybe even some AOL issues are resolved?

Yep, we had one here caused by colored membership names and the parsing of topics that seem to be missing this code: </span> ... yep, IE takes that missing </span> code seriously in the new board whereas it didn't make any difference with the old board. FF worked right through it and others browsers seemed unfazed.
Bottom line, it should be fixed.
Blame me for not catching it sooner but ... and you're going to love this ... I did a search a day or two ago on the IPB board and didn't see the issue but when I logged on minutes ago to report the 'bug' ... there, at the top of the IPB support forum was a guy talking how IE7 was going bonkers ... Little did he know that IE does too.

I think it may be fixed but you're browser is still getting stuff from the cache.
I saw that because I was having the big white space issue you reported in my IE8 ... and now it is long-gone - fixed.

vs
In 2003 there were 6,328,000 car accidents (in the US.) There were 2.9 million injuries and 42,643 people were killed in auto accidents.
In 2002, there were an estimated 6,316,000 car accidents in the USA. There were about 2.9 million injuries and 42,815 people were killed in auto accidents in 2002.
etc............ect............ect..............ect...............
..
Automobiles and their use are responsible for more pollution and other environmental destruction, including the largest share of the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, than any other human pursuit in the world. Cars also cause 40,000 human and 400,000,000 animal deaths every year in the US. Cars lead to suburban growth (= natural habitat destruction) and social isolation.

Anytime any premium member with a name that appeared in a color other than black posted, it would break the frame and that resulted in tons of white space.
Hopefully now it is resolved.
