Can you expand on the history of the house? I was there one time for an estate sale, it has a weird vibe.

I was at that estate sell to & I agree.

Am I the only one who noticed the discrepancies in the listing?

At the top, it says 3 bed/3 bath and at the bottom 2 bed/3 bath.
Again, top says 1 story and the bottom 2 story.

I noticed that.

I agree, and it's not too far from a lot of businesses going up, get it rezoned, but in the meantime, how many people are always looking for a place to rent to throw a party?
I would love to throw a party there!!!!!!!!!

I hear what you're saying about the event hall idea. I only know of three in the county. There might be more, but I only know of 3. It sounds like you are on to a great idea though...too bad I don't have the cash to purchase it. I think you could probably snag it for around $180k if you had cash.

Even if you bought it for the land, you'd have to be sure the county was willing to cooperate. Both demolition and rebuild require permits, and that would require county approval.

That was how he made his money. He bought out storage units and that what was being sold. They actually lived there, that's why the upstairs was usually blocked off.

Oh! That make me feel much better! I just thought the family had got up and left and sold everything off. It is good to know that he did this for a living. Makes so much more sense now!

Bob King said he owned it but I was never convinced of that fact. He did buy at storage building auctions and that is why there was so much stuff outside, in a trailer, hauler, etc. And, he and his significant other would go through everything and throw away pictures, personal stuff, etc and then group like things together to sell at yard sales. I have been in the bedrooms and it is a very strange layout. And, I agree, at least in the past the house gave off a negative vibe. Bob had it for sale on ebay for a long, long time and was asking in the millions for the house and land. (There is no telling how much he paid in ebay fees!!) He also advertised there was additional land that could be purchased separately. He was there one week and simply gone the next. Closed his ebay identity, everything. Poof - Gone.

I agree TuscanyTrailor it "could" be a beautiful event location. Now, if someone could get enough revenue from it to make it worth their investment - that is a different issue in itself. I can not see it ever being a comfy, livable home.

We've been in it, twice, and just have bad feelings about it...a weird vibe for us, too. The layout and rubber coated chain hanging from the great room ceiling, the bar in the bedroom, the mirrored baths, bathtub in the upstairs bedroom, all just bizarre and suggest parties of the X-rated sort, not a home.

He swears it was just this rickety old thing.
It could use a lot of love.

I do remember there are some old threads on pcom about this house. I remember reading that there was a member of a rock band that lived there. Who knows. Could be rumor for all I know. pardon.gif
I don't know if that was ever proven, or if it was just a rumor because of the tour bus.

It was listed for a while with 22+ acres for 2.2 mil. My sister lives in Bradshaw Park which is the sub next to the house. Her neighbor tried to buy an acre or two right behind his house and the man wanted $35k an acre. This was about a year to a year and a half ago.

My FIL lives right behind this house. Maybe it was him?

Would it even be possible to get a loan?? I'm thinking it wouldn't be easy.
