I completely agree that Traditional and Alternative can work in tendem!
There is definately a place for both.
I am a licensed massage therapist and work with a wonderful chiropractor at Dallas Chiropractic.

I was dragged to a chiro by a friend that was tired of me complaining. She started going to a chiro when she hurt her neck lifeguarding. Her neurosurgeon sent her to a particular guy before he would do surgery on her. That was 20 years ago. He just retired, actually.
Yes, I felt much, much worse when I first started going. And, often, now I will be achy when he gets done, but usually within a couple of hours I definitely feel relief. Often, putting things where they belong is not necessarily where they think they need to be.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I have been about 4 or 5 times. The first couple I felt better or hardly a difference. The 4th time I felt ok when I left but the next day I woke up and could not move. The 5th time I still could not bend over. I had an appointment today but had to reschedule b/c of circumstances. My lower back feels like it is getting better but I can still not bend over without pain. Just wondering when it will get better. Oh, and I don't know if it matters but I have been going atleast 2 times a week throughout the 5 times. 1st time was just X-rays and stuff though.

I agree and I'm glad that you have all those disciplines that are willing to work together.

It can because through the adjustment there is now movement where there had been none, and muscles are attached to those bones.
Just like when you exercise for the first time after a long time of not exercising, you are sore for a fews days following.

They work together.
I was told by my surgeon I could go to a pain managment doc or a chiropractor for my back and hips. I choose the chiropractor. and very happy with it

Glad to hear you choose the chiropractor. This way yoiur not only getting help with your hips and back via a natural, non-medicated way. But your also allowing yourself to be healthier by getting adjusted and having your nervous system operate at its optimum.

Loyalty is not the essence of patriotism, by the way, Liberty is the essence of patriotism- Heigh ho Silver
A test of a people is how it behaves toward the old. It is easy to love children. Even tyrants and dictators make a point of being fond of children. But the affection and care for the old, the incurable, the helpless are the true gold mines of a culture.
