computer DVD audio hookup question

I had to get a new motherboard and currently have a DVD that was connected to the old motherboard via an analog sound cable.

The new motherboard has a three-pin (no "skipped pin" like the analog cable) audio connector. On the DVD there is an analog connection as well as a 2-pin digital connection. I have looked for a corresponding cable (2 pin to 3 pin) but can only find a 2 pin digital CDROM cable like this one:

For those of you that build up newer type systems, is this the proper cable to connect the sound from the DVD to the new motherboard?
