Congrats to Trevard Lindley - a Sports Illustrated "Player to Watch" (August 17th issue, pg. 110). He currently is a senior cornerback at Kentucky.

SI states:
"A corner on the Nagurski Award watch list, Lindley intercepted four passes and broke up 11 more as a junior. He has made 39 consecutive starts."
(There's a nice little picture of him above this.)

Pretty cool for one of our Paulding County boys. Congratulations Trevard!

Trevard battled thru a lot of injuries in high school, he has had an awesome college career and has positioned himself to be one of the first Defensive Backs taken in the next NFL Draft. He is about to become the most decorated football player Paulding has produced.

Is he the one that snatched the ball at the LSU game a while ago? (last year? year before? they all start to run together....must be old age)

He graduated with my son, and he is a wonderful, humble young man. It has been a pleasure to watch him play football since seventh grade. He has risen to the top and he deserves to play with the best. Good luck Trevard, we love you and watching you play the game with passion. You're the best!!!

Yes he is, it was third OT and he helped Kentucky beat #1 LSU!

Congrats to Trevard! He and my son played rec football together growing up. They played at the old California field and were the Cowboys and then went to New Hope and played their last two years in rec ball as the New Hope Eagles. His Dad Terry and Tommy Sipsey were two of the best rec football coaches ever.

I just wanted to add that the title of this thread is incorrect. His name is Trevard. The first post is correct, but the title is wrong. Just an FYI...
